Whiff of Joy challenge - Floral

Morning! It's Wednesday and that means it's time for another challenge on the Whiff of Joy challenge blog, and this week we have a theme for you, it is floral. I needed to make a wedding card for my neighbour so this fitted nicely with this challenge! I managed to force myself to use this gorgeous K&Co paper...ouch LOL! I used the gorgeous carriage stamp, it is so beautiful isn't it, just love it! The edges have been distressed with antique linen distress ink.

I made one of my paper roses and decided to spray it with some pearlescent glue mixed with water (read somewhere this was a bit like glimmer mist). Not really happy with the result but I'm having a nightmare week with the building work we're having done and just didn't have time to make another rose unfortunately. It is actually very shiney but isn't showing on the photo, but it has made the lovely handmade paper I make them from really stiff so spoils the rose I think. I also added some Prima hydrangeas and the leaves are from MS branch punch.

From one of the flowers I have hung two coordinating ribbons and this gorgeous heart charm.

I added some luster rub on to her viel and around the edges of the image and some clear glitter glue to her tiara.

The inside is decorated with the same papers as the front, the gorgeous pink paper around the image is the reverse of the floral paper.

I coloured part of the image for the heart and added some of the hearts from the Whiff of Joy spring swirls kit stamped with antique linen distress ink.

The sentiment I have written with my calligraphy pen and the lace is carried through from the front design also, although it is mostly covered by the image on the front! Pop and have a look at the rest of the design team's creations they're truly stunning. Hope you can join us. x
