Stempelglede DT - Grunge Heart Anniversary Card

Good morning!  I have an anniversary card to share today that I made for my parents.  Of course, the Grunge Flourish Hearts stamps from Stempelglede were an obvious choice for it.
I stamped the Weathered heart and grunge flourishes stamp twice so that I could cut the central heart out.  This has then been raised on foam pads, painted lightly with Distress Inks and covered with Glossy Accents.
You can see the glossy accents more easily in the above photo.  I added an ornate spacer and brad to the centre of the heart.
Most of the flowers are from The Ribbon Girl, except the pale lilac and blue roses.
I also used the Postcard and French Script stamps from the Postcard from Paris stamp set on the base of the card.

Here and there I have torn the edges of the paper.  Here I have added some wisps of cheesecloth and a rose to highlight one of the tears.
The two different laces are from The Ribbon Girl.
I hope you like it and thanks for looking! x

Magnolia-licious DT - "W"ednesday Post

Good morning!  It is time for me to share another "W"ednesday post on the Magnolia-licious Challenge blog today.  As you can see, I have created a Halloween card using Wee Stamps' Hazel the Witch.
I've painted Hazel with Distress Inks and added some details with white and silver gel pens.
The spider webs were all cut with a Doohickey die from the Vol 6 kit and the spider charm is from my stash.  The pink tulle trim is from The Ribbon Girl.
I have stamped the sentiment using individual alphabet stamps from my stash.
The gorgeous purple flower was a gift from a friend and the black flower is from The Ribbon Girl.
The book of spells was created with another Doohickey from the Vol 6 kit and the bat charm is also from my stash.
I cut up some papers that had fine print on them to create book pages inside.
I hope you like it!  Pop over to the Magnolia-licious Challenge blog to see the rest of the team's gorgeous "W"ednesday creations, and don't forget to check out the Magnolia-licious store for the new Magnolia Christmas collection and a new stamp line!  Thanks for looking! x

Stars and Stripes

Good morning!  Today's card is another clean and simple card that I made last week for a teenage boy's birthday.  I think cards for teenage boys are the hardest to make and almost always reach for my Sizzix star die lol.
I found some masculine looking paper from my stash and tore the bottom to reveal an area for stamping the sentiment.  The middle stars are layered on foam pads to add a bit of interest and all of the stars have brads in the centres.
The sentiment is from a Tim Holtz stamp set.
I used the other piece of the torn paper to create a little money pocket inside the card.
I hope you like it and thanks for looking! x

21

Good morning!  I thought I'd share a quick card that I created this week for a colleague.
I thought Champagne Edwin would be perfect for a 21st birthday card.  I've painted him with Distress Inks and added some details with a white gel pen.  I've also added stickles to the champagne and his bow tie.
I love the sentiment that came with this Edwin.  It adds an amusing touch I think!
I created the 21 with flat back gems to match the colour of the backing paper and added some doodling in the corners with a fine black pen.
I hope you like it and thanks for looking!  Have a fabulous Sunday. x

Ribbon Girl DT - Anything Goes

Good morning!  It is time for another Magnolia only challenge at The Ribbon Girl.  All of the gorgeous flowers, laces and ribbons at The Ribbon Girl are just perfect for wedding cards so they were my first choice when I was commissioned to make one recently.
I love the wedding cake die from Magnolia, I think it is one of my favourite dies!  I have used pearlescent card for the cake and I have added pieces of pearl string from The Ribbon Girl along the top of each tier for 'icing'.
All of the flowers except the large rose are from The Ribbon Girl.  The gorgeous lace flower is a piece I have cut from a larger lace strip and I have added a pearl to the centre.
The butterflies were punched with a Martha Stewart punch from pretty pink vellum.  The lace down the sides of the image mat is also from The Ribbon Girl.
Again the flowers are from the Ribbon Girl with the exception of the large white rose and so is the soft pink tulle that I have used to create a bow.
I hope you like it and I've inspired you to join us at The Ribbon Girl this week.  Pop over to the blog to see the rest of the team's gorgeous creations.  Thanks for looking! x

Magnolia-licious DT - Spooktacular Fun

Good morning!  Today I'd like to show you my project for our current challenge at Magnolia-icious Challenge, which is 'Spooktacular Fun'.  I've made a Halloween haunted house treat box to hold some sweets.  I created the box from scratch.
I have used an older Tilda called Wild Tilda - she's all dressed up to go trick or treating!  Diana still has her in the store if you didn't grab her the first time round.  I've painted her with Distress Inks and added some details with a white gel pen.
I've used the pumpkin die from the Vol 6 Doohickey Kit and inked the edges with Walnut Stain Distress Ink.
I layered the middle section on 3D tags for added effect.
The cat is from the Paris Nights die set.  I've folded the tail so that it sits on the ground.
I have used a scrap of cheesecloth from The Ribbon Girl for a spooky, tattered looking curtain in the wonky window.
Here's another view of the house showing how the left side is decorated.
I used the pumpkin Doohickey again but this time used the face cut outs to create Jack 'o' lantern.  The fence is from another Doohickey kit and the cobweb is from the Vol 6 kit.
The back of the house also features a fence and cobweb.
I added another Jack 'o' lantern die cut to the rear corner of the house.  Notice how the nose is different to the other one?  You can use all the pieces separately to create different faces - which I think is rather cool!
The final side of the house features a large cobweb and some more fencing.  I also added a chimney to the roof, which can be used as a handle to lift it up to get to the sweets.

The whole of the longest side of the roof lifts up.
Now all that remains is for it to be filled with some spooktacular sweets!
I hope you like it and I've inspired you to join us at Magnolia-licious Challenge this month.  Pop over to the blog to see the rest of the team's spooky creations.

As always Diana is sponsoring with a fabulous prize from the Magnolia-licious store.  Thanks for looking! x

All About Magnolia DT - Autumn

Good morning!  Today I'd like to share the card I have created for our latest challenge at All About Magnolia.  The theme for this month is 'Autumn'.
I have used an older Tilda and painted her with Distress Inks.
I created an autumnal scene for Tilda to walk through using the dies from the Doohickey Vol 6 kit.
Amongst the die cuts I have added some pine cones from The Ribbon Girl and some beaded stamens from my stash.
The vintage seam binding is also from the Ribbon Girl.
The falling leaves and wheat are also Doohickey dies.
I've added some gold stickles to the sparklers that Tilda is holding.
The gorgeous pine cone charm is also from The Ribbon Girl.
I hope you like it and I've inspired you to join us at All About Magnolia.  Pop over to the blog to see the rest of the team's gorgeous creations.  Thanks for looking! x
