Welcome summer is the title of our new challenge over at Deep Ocean Challenge this fortnight, not my actual reference to any weather here in the UK lol!! I think someone has forgotten that it's June and it's supposed to be sunny lol!! As you can see I have gone for a vintage look for my card as this gorgeous image just screams vintage at me!
I coloured the image with copics and have sewn around the edges and inked them with frayed burlap distress ink. The stamp is called "Collecting Sea Shells" by Stamps Happen Inc.
Here's a close up! I just love how she's daintily picking up the seashell - in fact I have a photo of my daughter age on almost identical to this stamp lol!
I cut some flowers with a doohickey peony petals die #2 and added shells to the centres and scattered around the image. The branches were punched with a Martha Stewart punch and the charms are by Papermania. I have used Tim Holtz scrollwork die behind the image.
I created a doily with Tim Holtz doily on the edge die and also added some cheesecloth. The pennants were cut with the doohickey Flag and Cloud die #30.
I added another doohickey flower and Papermania charm in the opposite corner along with a swirling string of pearls.
I hope you like it and I've inspired you to join us this fortnight at Deep Ocean Challenges! Pop over to the blog to see the rest of the team's stunning creations! Thanks for looking! x
