Lovely hAnglar & Sweet Magnolia DT - Stitching

Woohoo!!  It is time for another challenge at Lovely hAnglar & Sweet Magnolia and this fortnight we would like to see stitching on your project.  It seems like forever since I used any of my hAnglar stamps so I had a good old rummage through them and decided on this little cutie with her matching seaweed and fun sentiment.  The image ended up quite big so I've made a rectangular card instead of my usual square.  The papers are a mixture from my stash and I've sewn all the edges and inked with walnut stain distress ink.
I've coloured the images with copics and added stickles to her tail fin and some gems to some of the bubbles around the seaweed.
All of the flowers are from Ribbon Girl and I've kept the stems on and twirled them to look like seaweed.
This gorgeous resin flower is also from Ribbon Girl as is the button twine.  I also added some cheesecloth behind the image, reminds me of a fishing net perhaps.
I hope you like it and I've inspired you to join us at Lovely hAnglar or Sweet Magnolia challenge!  Pop over to the blog to see the rest of the team's gorgeous creations.  Thanks for looking! x

Lovely hAnglar & Sweet Magnolia DT - Winter Wonderland

Woohoo!!!  It is time for another Lovely hAnglar & Sweet Magnolia challenge and this fortnight our theme is Winter Wonderland.  I have created my winter wonderland with Tim Holtz' pine tree and reindeer flight dies onto a stair step card.  I have added stickles to all the trees to make the wonderland extra magical!
Having fun in the winter wonderland is this stunning hAnglar girl, coloured with copics.
In the distance you can see the Swedish Church from Magnolia to complete the winter wonderland scene.
I have embossed a Merry Christmas stamp from hAnglar and added tiny gems from Whiff of Joy along the bottom.

Lovely hAnglar and Sweet Magnolia DT - Flowers

Woohoo!!  Well I'm sure I'm still busy cake decorating - thank goodness for scheduling!  It is time for another challenge at Lovely hAnglar and Sweet Magnolia challenge and our theme is "flowers".  Can't go wrong there can you!?  I'm entering another fab challenge, the Just Magnolia and hAnglar & sTanglar challenge whose theme is "anything goes with handmade flowers".  I'm so ashamed how long I've had the set containing this hAnglar cutie, and do you know what, I hadn't even opened it (so bad!).  The papers are from Magnolia.
I've coloured her with copics and added dots to her cheeks with a white gel pen.  I love the little berries on her shoes and collar!
I created  my own flowers with some of the paper and a peony petals doohickey die #2 and the red flowers were created with sizzix 3D flower die.  The leaves were cut with the rose leaf doohickey #18 and I added cheesecloth and a pin from my stash.
I added a lace bow and a butterfly charm from my stash which I painted up a little bit with some gesso, which I've also painted on the other flowers and around the edges of the card.  Was trying to be a bit shabby!
I hope you like it and I've inspired you to join us at Lovely hAnglar and Sweet Magnolia!  Pop over to the blog to see the rest of the team's stunning creations!  Thanks for looking! x

Woohoo!!  It is time for another challenge at Lovely hAnglar Only challenge and this fortnight our theme is "Vintage/Shabby Chic".  Don't forget you can also use Magnolia stamps to enter the challenge now!  I have cut the shape of my card with a Go Create die.
I've painted my image with distress inks and stamped around the edges with a Stempelglede grunge stamp in frayed burlap distress ink.
I have used flowers from my stash and some butterflies cut from Prima paper.  The lace is from my local haberdashery store and the leaves are a Martha Stewar punch.

Lovely hAnglar Only Challenge DT - Spring Has Sprung

Woohoo!!  It is time for another challenge at Lovely hAnglar Only Challenge and this fortnight our theme is "Spring Has Sprung"!  Wish it had LOL, it had been throwing it down with rain the whole day when I made this card!  At least the bright cheery colours and papers cheered me up!  The papers are from Magnolia, stitched and distressed as usual.
I really couldn't decide which hAnglar stamp to use (shamefully I have a few that haven't seen ink yet - naughty me!!) so thought I'd use these two together and make a little spring scene - two sisters in the garden! I have coloured them with copics and added some little daisies to the grass with a white gel pen which I have also used on their cheeks.  I have also sewn around the image mat.
The daisy is a Prima e-line flower with a button from my stash for the centre and the scalloped edging is from some shaped paper by MME.  The "Oh So Happy" sentiment was torn from some more MME paper from the same range as the scalloped edge.  The pearls around the circle are from Whiff of Joy.
The wooden butterfly (from The Hobby House) and the tulle at the side of the image are attached to a pull out tag with the rest of the sentiment on - "to have you in my life".  I think this card would be great for a female to give her sister or maybe even a Mum or Dad to give to their two girls!
I hope you like it and I've inspired you to join us this fortnight at Lovely hAnglar Only Challenge!  Pop over to the blog to see the rest of the team's stunning creations!  Thanks for looking! x

A hAnglar Card for Christmas Eve!

Woohoo!!!  At last it is Christmas Eve!!  I have one of my commissioned cards to share with you again today.  A special card for someone to give their girlfriend.  I thought a hAnglar boy image would be best for this.  The papers are by Magnolia and have all been stitched and distressed with walnut stain distress ink.
I masked the image together with the cookie basket and have coloured both with copics.  I added stickles to the gingerbread cookies to look like sugar.
I added a bow with some lush ribbon from my stash and a present charm from the Hobby House which I've painted with acrylic paint.
I added a poinsettia from my stash and used a pearl bead for the centre and some more gorgeous flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts.

The mistletoe and holly were die cut with Tim's Festive Greenery die and the heart pin is from my stash.

To make the card extra special I decorated the inside with the same Magnolia papers.  I used the gorgeous Christmas text from Magnolia on the left side and the holly stamp from the autumn kit on the right side, leaving space for a personal message.  I added some more holly leaves from the festive greenery die and some tiny pearls for the berries.
I hope you like it!  I'd like to take this opportunity to wish all of you a very
Merry Christmas!
Thank you all for your lovely comments and support throughout the year, I appreciate every single one of you! x
