Baby Shower Card

I have another card to share today using the gorgeous dies from Doohickey Volume 25, Bella Notte.  I love this set so much!

How cute are these little clouds?  I have combined them with the moon and hanging star that I used on my last card.  Again I have cut the hanging star in glitter cardstock and patterned paper so that I could create a two colour die cut.  The white panel is also cut with a Magnolia die, the largest die from the Vintage Frames and Tags die set.

I have embossed the Baby Shower sentiment, from the You Are Invited Collection, with silver embossing powder.  The pink paper is from Maja Designs Vintage Summer Basics paper collection.

Craft Heaven DT - Doohickey Baby Card

Good afternoon!  Today's card for Craft Heaven features the stunning papers from Maja Design and lots of cute Doohickey dies from Volume 13.

The star paper is from Maja's Christmas Season collection, Merry Night and the blue is the reverse of the paper.  The star border was trimmed from another Maja Design paper.

All of the little cut outs were cut with dies from Volume 13 and inked with Walnut Stain Distress Ink.

The baby boy resin piece is from Craft Heaven.  I have painted it with Gesso and inked the edges with Walnut Stain Distress Ink.  A baby girl resin piece is also available.

1st Birthday Card

Good morning!  I am back with another card for a little cutie's first birthday using lots of Doohickey dies and Magnolia stamps.  When I received my Doohickey 19 kit I was particularly inspired by the gorgeous accordian card by Jiwon.  I have never made one of these so thought I would have a go.  It was surprisingly simple to do!

All of the papers are by Maja Design from the Denim and Friends Collection.  I have used Adorable Edwin from the You Are Invited Collection and the Sweet Moon from the Sweet Crazy Love Collection.  I have painted both with Distress Inks before cutting them out to mount onto the centre panel of the accordian card.

I have used lots of Doohickey dies from the Volume 13 kit, Sweet Pea.  They are all perfect for baby cards.

When you open up the card it looks like this!  I love how it opens up so unexpectedly - expect to see more of these from me from now on!

The front panel swings into the middle of the card as you can see.

On the back panel, which also swings into the middle of the card, I have used the stars and cloud Doohickeys from Volume 13.

I have also used the sweet little elephant, tag and nappy pin...

...and the cuter than cute whale!  The one is from my stash.

All About Magnolia DT - #30 Anything Goes

 Good morning!  Today I'd like to share my card for the All About Magnolia Challenge where our theme for this month is 'Anything Goes'. 

 I painted the super cute Adorable Tilda with Distress Inks using the no lines technique.  I have added some white dots to her cheeks and eyes with a white gel pen.

The gorgeous sentiment is from Stempelglede's Follow Your Heart stamp set, stamped with Victorian Velvet Distress Ink.

The cute little feet were cut with a Doohickey die from the Baby Accessories die set that came in the Advent Calendar.  The lace is from Craft Heaven and the flowers and doily are from my stash.

The tags were cut with a Doohickey tag die and threaded with white seam binding.

Stempelglede Baby Boy Card

 Good morning!  I have a new baby card to share with you today using Stempelglede's Vintage Baby stamp set.

 I stamped the photo onto Ranger Gloss Paper and have inked the edges with Walnut Stain Distress Ink.  The sentiment and the crown are also from the same stamp set.

I have used straws, twine and buttons for the embellishments.  The blue doily is from my stash.  My friend is a massive Disney fan so I added a little nod to Mickey on the card for fun.  She spotted it straight away - can you see it?

I have used a Doohickey die for the pennant flags and stamped the baby's name with alphabet stamps.  the bottle, baby vest and nappy pin were cut using a Whiff of Joy die.

I have stamped the date of birth on the backing paper with a date stamp.

Magnolia-licious DT - Baby Card

 Good morning!  Today I'd like to share a baby card I made with lots of gorgeous goodies from Magnolia-licious.  

 How cute is the stork Doohickey?  I love it!  It works equally well as the focus of the card or as embellishment to a painted image I think.  I cut mine from the same paper as the background paper.

 I have layered the image up using several circle die cuts and added some lace behind the bottom circle.  All of the flowers were made with a Doohickey die from one of last year's kits.  You can find a great selection of them at Magnolia-licious!

 I have also used a heart tag Doohickey and the hearts are the centre cut outs.  Waste not want not!

 The bark hearts, lace and papers are new in stock at Magnolia-licious.

Ribbon Girl DT - Twin Girls Card

Good morning!  I have a project to share today using lots of gorgeous Ribbon Girl goodies!  A card for the birth of twin girls!  I was commissioned to create this card and I gave the lady several different options for images.  She chose these cute prams that I had made up with different dies.  They were my favourite idea too but the trouble was they needed a huge card!  This double twisted easel card design was perfect because it meant the card could actually be a more reasonable size.

 For the prams I cut a large circle, cut it in half and then rearranged the pieces to form the base and hood.  I have used a Magnolia lace die for the frilly edges and part of a Magnolia swirl die for the pram handle.  Two small die cut circles for the wheels and a tiny, ready made bow from my stash, completes each pram.

 The sentiment is from a Tim Holtz set, stamped with Victorian Velvet Distress Ink.  The button and tulle are from The Ribbon Girl.

 The flags die is from Magnolia too and all of the gorgeous flowers are from The Ribbon Girl.

 I added a mirror image of the flower arrangement on the other side of the sentiment.

Here's another view looking down on the card.  I can never decide the best angle for easel card photographs lol!

This is what the card looks like when it is folded up to go in its matching box.

On the base of the inside of the box I added a die cut sentiment from Tim Holtz and some butterflies punched with a Martha Stewart punch.

To make the box easier to open I came up with this idea.  I attached a length of ribbon to the inside and draped it over one edge to the outside of the box.  Once the lid is on you can simply pull up on the ribbon and the box lid comes off with ease (and without breaking any nails lol!).  I added a layered butterfly to the part of the ribbon that hangs outside of the box.

New Baby Card

 Good morning!  Today I'd like to share a new baby card.  I have used an older Magnolia stamp which, of course, is perfect for a new baby card.

 I have painted the image with Distress Inks and added dots to their eyes and cheeks with a white gel pen.  I have stamped around the edges of the image mat with a Stempelglede stamp from the Follow Your Heart stamp set.

 At last I got to make use of the cute teddy bear face die cut that was in a recent Doohickey Kit!  It is so cute!  The lace and button twin are from The Ribbon Girl.

 I also used the baby vest die from the kit.

 The balloons have also been cut with Doohickey dies and I've added baby's date of birth and name with some cut outs from a Pion Design paper.

 I've used the Doohickey heart tag to create tags behind the image.  The little bell is from my stash.

 Baby cards always seem to cry out for cute little buttons I think.  I have used a selection of buttons and some paper stars cut with a Sizzix die.  The cheesecloth, and the buttons, are from The Ribbon Girl.
