Craft Heaven DT - Home Sweet Home

Good morning!  Today I'd like to share a 'New Home' card featuring the super cute My Own Key Tilda from the You Are Invited collection.  The gorgeous papers I've used are all from Maja Design's new Celebration collection.

As always I have painted Tilda with Distress Inks using the no lines technique.  I've also added dots to her cheeks and top with a white gel pen.  I have used two different post mark stamps from Magnolia on the edges of the image.
I've used lots of Doohickey dies on my card.  This gorgeous sign from kit 4, Le Jardin seemed perfect to use as a for sale/sold sign, but now it says Home Sweet Home instead of sold!  Notice the two colour stamping on the sentiment?  Yes, I couldn't resist using my Tim Holtz Stamping Platform again!  I've added some tiny pearls over the stamped screw heads.
How cute is the little key and house key fob?  I've joined them with some blue twine.  I've also given the lock some pearl 'screws'.  All three Doohickeys are from the You are Invited collection too.
I created a little envelope with the medium Vintage Photo Frame Doohickey and popped a resin rose from Craft Heave on the flap.
The window from Doohickey kit 4 also came in handy for this house themed card!
I've used my favourite Bloomy Tag Doohickey and added white seam binding.
Hanging from the tag is the House Tag Doohickey and a key Doohickey from last year's Advent Calendar.
I used the cut out bricks from the House Tag to add extra interest to the house!
I hope you like it and I've inspired you to join us at Craft Heaven this month.  Thanks for looking! x

A New Home Card

Good morning!  I have a new home card to share today using some gorgeous papers from Webster's Pages.
I cut the little house scene from a sheet of Webster's Pages paper.  It also has a lovely poem about what makes a house a home.
The butterflies were also cut from Webster's Pages papers and the new home stickers are Tim Holtz Chit Chat stickers.  I have distressed the edges of the papers with a distressing tool and Walnut Stain Distress Ink.
The gorgeous lace is from The Ribbon Girl and the pearls are from my stash.
I hope you like it and thanks for looking.  Enjoy your day and the upcoming weekend. x

Just Magnolia and hAnglar & sTanglar Challenge DT - Make it Lacey

Well, it was certainly Friday the 13th alright wasn't it LOL - no blogger all day, no scheduled post and then it goes and publishes without any text!! and my post from yesterday has vanished, hope it reappears when they sort things through! Anyway, at long last I can share my card with you for this week's Just Magnolia and hAnglar & sTanglar challenge!! Our theme this week is Make it Lacey, so you can use lace, lacey dies, doileys and lacey punches! My Brother and his Fiancee just moved into a new house and this is the New Home card I made for them. The papers are by Prima.

I coloured Edwin's Town with copics and then cut out the houses individually as the image was too large in a mat - there was no paper left LOL! I coloured two of the houses in black and white and then one in colour to represent "their" new house in a street of other houses. I have added glossy accents to the windows and stickles to the coloured house.

The doiley is by Martha Stewart and I added some gel stickers from my stash to spell "new" and a metal word tag for "home". The gingham ribbon is from my stash.

The gorgeous aida hydrangeas are by Prima and I added some flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts too along with a key charm and button twine from Whiff of Joy.

I added some butterflies punched with Martha Stewart punches and some gorgeous peach lace from my stash.

Hope you like it and I've inspired you to join us this week at Just Magnolia and hAnglar & sTanglar challenge! Pop over to the challenge blog to see the rest of the teams stunning cards! Thanks for looking! x

Whiff of Joy challenge DT - Donalda's Sketch

Yippee!! it is time for another challenge at Whiff of Joy challenge and this week we have a gorgeous sketch by Donalda for you to use!! My lovely hubby asked me to make a New Home card for him to give a colleague. After lots of searching through stamps thinking what I could use I thought it would be fun to use the gorgeous palace from the 1001 Nights Whiff of Joy kit! The paper is by Bo Bunny and I've distressed it with walnut stain distress ink.
I have stamped the image four times so that I could create a decoupage of the palace to add some extra interest to the card. The images are coloured with copics and layered up with silicone glue.

I added some swirls using my Tim Holtz fancy flourish die from black cardstock. The "Have a Royal Celebration" sentiment is also from the 1001 nights kit and I have added "in your new home" underneath with a fine black pen. I have curved the sentiment tag so that it takes up less room on the card as it looked a little too large for the space when it was flat.
In this photo you can see how I have layered up the palace. The red flowers are from Prima and the blossoms and roses are from Wild Orchid Crafts who are sponsoring our prize this fortnight!

Hope you like it and thanks for looking! Pop over to the challenge blog to see the rest of the teams stunning cards! x
