Just Magnolia Challenge DT - Anything goes!

Friday!! Woohoo!!! Now I don't know about you but I've had a fabulous week because we actually have really deep snow where we live and we usually get none or a little sprinkle! I love the snow!! I know it's a pain to get around and it grinds everything to a halt but it is just so beautiful and so Christmassy!! My son's school has been closed since Wednesday so we've been playing in the snow every day and have almost finished an igloo - we're up to the tricky bit now so we'll see how we get on today LOL! Anyway, back to blogland and today's card for the Just Magnolia challenge. It is our special monthly challenge this week where anything goes but we're asking for a bit of sparkle too! My card is one of those that I think it looked better in my head than it actually turned out LOL!

Everybody Art Challenge have a theme of Gingerbread Time and that was the main idea for the card, I wanted it to look like a really scrummy Christmas cake shop! I've used the sketch at Create 4 fun too. The papers are from Whiff of Joy's Winter Pretties pad stitched and then distressed with brushed cordoruy distress ink. The loop border is Martha Stewart double loops punch around the page set.

It just had to be Gingerbread Tilda of course LOL! I've coloured her with copics and added some sugary glitter to the gingerbread hearts in her basket.

It was also the perfect excuse to use a hAnglar stamp! This gorgeous cookie basket which I've also coloured with copics and added sugary glitter to the cookies. I paper pieced the napkin with some Magnolia paper. The tag is a doo hickey die and the sentiment is from Whimsy Stamps' Jingle Bell Ride set by Crissy Armstrong. I stamped around the edge of the tag with a Stempelglede stamp. I added the gingerbread style wiggle of icing with stickles and sprinkled it with glitter.

I'm not sure on this bit - can't decide if I love them or hate them - I stamped the candy cane from the Magnolia autumn kit onto shrink plastic, and then coloured them with copics before shrinking. They look like boiled sweets with their shine! The gems, ribbon and lace are from my stash.

The tag pulls out from the cookie basket to write a message on. The small candy cane on the tag is also from the Whimsy Stamps set.

Hope you like it and I've inspired you to join us this week at Just Magnolia! Pop over to the challenge blog to see the gorgeous cards from the rest of the team! Thanks for looking! x
