Magnolia Down Under Challenges DT - Shabby Chic

 

Good evening!  It is time for us to start another challenge at Magnolia Down Under Challenge and our new theme is 'Shabby Chic'.  My papers are by Magnolia and I've inked the edges with Walnut Stain Distress Ink.

I have used an old Tilda but I'm sure you'll recognise her as she is on all of Magnolia's packets!  I love how wistful she looks.  I've painted her with Distress Ink pads and used a white gel pen on her cheeks.

I've sprayed gold Glimmer Mist around the image and also embossed Frantage around the edges for a shabby chic look.  The gorgeous heart frame around Tilda is a doily from my stash.

I have made rolled roses using a Sizzix die and added stamens to the centres from The Ribbon Girl.

The glittered ribbon, pearl trim and seam binding are also from The Ribbon Girl.

I added a pearl to the centre of another rolled rose.

I created two 'love birds' for the top of my card with the Tim Holtz Caged Bird die.
