Magnolia-licious Winter Blog Hop

Good mornning and welcome to the Magnolia-licious Winter Blog Hop!  I'm actually really excited about this hop.  Do you know why?  It means that Christmas is just around the corner and I absolutely love, love, love Christmas!  If you haven't arrived here from Cathy's blog then you might want to join the hop at the beginning on the Magnolia-licious Challenge Blog as there are prizes to be won!  OK, onto my projects for the hop.  As you can see my thoughts have turned to decorating the table for Christmas, one of my favourite jobs on Christmas Eve, I really like my table to have the WOW! factor.  Let's take a closer look at the Christmas cracker first.
The cracker is made from some K&Co paper.  My little girl helped to make the actual cracker and chose some of the embellishments.  So this cracker has to be hers on Christmas day - I just need to add a secret gift!  I had some cracker snaps in my stash from a previous year so, of course, one of those had to go in.  I am so in love with the Doohickey Father Christmas from the Vol 2 kit which I have added to the main body of the cracker.
My little girl chose the ribbon to tie around each end - good choice!  I have added some rustic bells sprinkled with gold mica on top of the bows.
My little girl also chose which punch to use on the edge of the cracker where the two papers meet.
The next part of my table ensemble is this cute little star box which I've used to contain some truffles for after Christmas lunch.  I've used the tutorial here by our very own Diana!  I've simply made a shorter box.  I've used the same papers and punch to match the cracker.
Look how perfectly shaped the box is!  I love it and it is so quick and easy too.
Of course, the table would not be complete without a place card, and as my little girl helped to make the cracker I have made the card for her place.
 I've painted Sparkle Poinsettia Tilda with Distress Ink Pads and added some detail with a white gel pen.
I've stamped her name with some cute alphabet stamps and gilded them with gold leaf.

I hope you like my table set and I've inspired you to get creative for a chance to win.  There are two ways to win on this hop:

  • Totalling the hidden numbers from all DT posts and sending the total in an email to Cathy (cathylee.co@gmail.com) who will choose a random winner from all the correct responses she receives;
  • By participating in the Hop Challenge and creating a Holiday project. A random winner from all of the entries will be chosen.
        Both winners will receive a $50 Gift Certificate!

So, with that in mind you'll want to know my number, which is 3!

Now it is time to hop on over to Chris to see her gorgeous creation.  Thanks for looking and good luck! x
