Good morning! Today is the start of our first challenge of 2016 on the
Magnolia-licious Challenge blog. To make things easier for you to enter we have changed things a little for this year. All of our challenges will be Anything Goes but with an optional theme for those of you that prefer more direction. Our optional theme for this challenge is winter. A perfect opportunity for me to paint this little cutie again.
I have used the no lines technique this time and painted her with Distress Inks.
I have used a Memory Box die around the edges of the card and added some flat back gems to some of the snowflakes.
I have used a Tim Holtz die to make the trees, which I've cut from the Christmas Crackers I had this year. Love it when I can recycle something onto my cards!
The icicles and the loopy trim were cut with Magnolia dies from the last Doohickey Kit. I have used acetate as the card base so that the icicles can hang down with nothing behind them. I think it looks really cool!
