Splash!

I had lots of extra time over the Easter holidays and found time to make a few things I rarely have time for!  I was able to make this layout using a photo from one of our day trips over the holiday within a few days of it being taken - a rare occurrence these days!  It was the first time we had taken the children to a theme park and we all had such a great time.  I had to scrap their first time on a log flume :).
The letters are a mixture of Tim Holtz Grungeboard letters and some I cut myself from spare Grungeboard as I didn't have all the letters I needed.  I've then embossed them with Shabby Blue Frantage.  They look so cool in real life!
I tore up bits of white cardstock to have the water splashes around the bottom of the log.  This layout certainly won't fit in an album lol!  I then added bits of  Webster's Pages silver netting to add some sparkle to the 'water'.
I added chipboard pieces and flowers from my stash and glass beads to represent water droplets.
Chipboard swirls add to the splash effect nestled in among the paper waves.
These glass beads add a great touch when you want to represent bubbles or water on a layout I think.
The small blue flowers are from The Ribbon Girl.
I cut a Prima swirl into three separate pieces so I could use it in different places around the layout.
I hope you like it and thanks for looking! x
