The ribbon is from my stash and the roses are from Wild Orchid Crafts.

Whiff of Joy DT - Mini Wee and Reindeer for Let's Get Shabby

I have another gorgeous preview of the December images from Whiff of Joy to share with you today! This one is a miniature of Wee and Reindeer - so cute! I have created my card for the
Let's Get Shabby Challenge where you have to include at least 4 items from their list. I have used Snowflakes, Trees (on the paper), Bell (charm), and star (star border punch and on the papers).
I stamped Wee and Reindeer onto a nestie tag and inked around the edge with one of the new distress inks (forgot the name :) LOL). The cute wooden button is from the Hobby House.
The sentiment is from Whiff of Joy's autumn kit and is now available with one of the stamps from the kit. I have doodled around the edge with a white gel pen.
The ribbon is from my stash and I have added a reindeer charm from The Hobby House and a bell by Papermania.
The silver snowflake was cut from some makeup packaging with Whiff of Joy's snowflakes die and the brads are from The Hobby House too.
I hope you like it and thanks for looking! x

Whiff of Joy DT - I Love You!

Woohoo! I have another preview for you today of three of the new mini stamps being released at Whiff of Joy on 1st December! They're so cute and as you can see fit nicely onto a tag! I have created an accordian card to showcase all three Henry Mouse minis together. The papers are by 7 Gypsies. I am entering my card into the Totally Gorjuss challenge which is sparkle as I have glittered the edges of all the papers and used gems.

Here's the card when it is opened out. I have spelt I <3 U across the three panels.

The first panel features Huge Love - I'm so thrilled Katharina has brought him out in mini size as I love the full size on too! I've coloured all the images with copics. The red flowers with words on are by Hero Arts and the brads are from Whiff of Joy. The heart pin and tiny rosebud are from my stash and the rest of the flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts.

The second panel features Henry in Love. The die cut heart is from my stash, and the flower and brad are the same as the first panel.

The last panel features Henry with Love Balloon - soo cute. The kraft leaves have been cut with Whiff of Joy's leaves die.

I hope you like it and thanks for looking! x

Sundays With Crissy DT - Non Traditional Christmas

Woohoo! It is my turn to inspire you to join our challenge over at Sundays With Crissy which this month is "Christmas in non traditional colours" - so no reds and greens. I love soft mint green with pink for non traditional Christmas cards so went with that. The snowflake paper is by Whiff of Joy and the pink was a small scrap from my stash. I've sewn the edges and distressed them.

I just had to use the gorgeous Zoe and Gemma's Snow Fun that Crissy drew for Wags n Whiskers, available from Bunny Zoes. I've coloured the image with copics and added some stickles here and there.

The plastic snowflake is from a cheap decoration garland I bought last year (with the sole purpose of taking the snowflakes off it LOL) and the blossom is from Wild Orchid Crafts. The sentiment is from Whiff of Joy.

I added some flowers from my stash along with some bead strings (also from the snowflake garland). The spacer and brad are from The Hobby House.

Hope you like it and I've inspired you to join us at Sundays With Crissy challenge! Pop over the to the blog for some more gorgeous inspiration - you still have 3 days to join in! Thanks for looking! x

Whiff of Joy DT - December release preview and a tutorial!

Good morning! Hope you're having a relaxing Sunday! I have a preview for you of one of the new mini stamps that will be released at Whiff of Joy on 1st December! These are so cute and perfect for smaller cards cards and projects, tags and the insides of cards - I love them! I have created a bookmark using this stunning mini dragon - isn't he fabulous!? Perfect for my little boy who loves reading books about adventures and fairytales!

Here's a closer look :).

I've coloured the dragon with copics - he just had to be red as my son has two toy dragons that are red :).

I like to keep the embellishments flat on bookmarks so that they don't spoil the pages of the books. I don't know where this flower with the stars came from - it has been in my stash forever LOL! The star brad was a gift and the ticket is, of course, by Tim Holtz.

The alphabet stickers are by Dovecraft and the charm is from Whiff of Joy as is the button twine I've tied it with.

I have left the back of the bookmark plain to show off the fabulous dragon on the papers.

I hope you like it! This bookmark is no ordinary bookmark either......it is rather special! Check out my tutorial on the Whiff of Joy Inspirations blog to see why! Thanks for looking! x

Pink Ink Skech Challenges DT - Kristy's Sketch!

Woohoo!! It is time for another fabulous challenge at Pink Ink Sketch Challenges! But first, I need to tell you about a name change though - we have renamed the challenge "The Sketchy Challenges" as lots of people were thinking it is linked to Kellie's store with it having pink in the title, which it isn't so we thought it best to change the name completely to avoid any further confusion! This fortnight we have a gorgeous sketch by Kristy - I absolutely loved playing around with this one! I have turned the sketch on it's side and added it to a square card (the sketch is a circular one). I have used papers by Magnolia and created a Christmas card for my little girl. I just have to use Tilda on her cards - every time I colour Tilda she asks if it is her and what she is doing in the stamp LOL - so cute! I have created a big round window for Tilda to sit in looking out at the beautiful snowy scene on Christmas Eve :) - I'm really thrilled how the idea turned out!

I have coloured Tilda with copics and added stickles to her wings and cut her out completely so she can sit in the window frame. Here's a closer look of what Tilda is looking at out of the window. Can you see the build up of snow on the window pane?? Hehehe - I had a lot of fun creating this card!

Of course Tilda has to have her tree up on Christmas Eve so I created her one using the tree stamp from last year's autumn kit. I stamped it twice with iced spruce distress ink and then cut them out to layer on top of each other to make a tall Christmas tree. Then added lots of sparkly baubles using gems from Whiff of Joy. The star on top is a charm from my stash which hubby kindly cut the ring off for me. The presents are squares and rectangles of another Magnolia paper topped with the cutest little pink bows which were a gift from my gorgeous friend Louise.

Now for the scene behind the window. I used the winter night background stamp and stamped it twice, side by side, with the border masked out, to make a larger scene. I covered the areas where they meet with a snow pen and dark colouring to hide any odd looking joins. I have coloured it with copics and added some more snowflakes and stars at the top where the stamping had ended.

The snow scene page opens out sideways to reveal a space for writing a Christmas message. Again the paper is by Magnolia and I used Kara's favourite of Mummy's Tildas - Tilda with teddy bear - just like Kara when she goes to sleep :).

I have coloured her with copics too and used the Magnolia doohickey snowflake die and added another of those cute bows to the centre. I created the doily using a corner punch.

On the other side I stamped the Merry Christmas text from last year's autumn kit with seedless preserves distress ink. I added a couple of gems and another snowflake with bow centre. I hope you like it and I've inspired you to join us this fortnight at The Sketchy Challenges! Pop over to the blog to see the rest of the team's stunning creations! We have a fabulous prize too! Thanks for looking! x

Woohoo! A party!

Today I want to share a card I made for one of my husband's friends who's birthday party we went to last weekend! Yes! I actually went out to a party - I haven't been out for a long, long time so it was great to get out and doll myself up! LOL he is a police dog handler so I thought it would be so funny to use this image by Mo Manning!! I think it is just hysterical given his job! He loved it so it was obviously a good choice! The papers are by MME.

I coloured the image with copics and have sewn around the image mat as well as the main backing paper.

The numbers are from a Tim Holtz grungeboard set and I covered them with silver leaf.

I used an EK success punch along the edge of the notebook style paper and added a file tab with a spellbinders die. I drew an arrow from "Age" to the silver 50 LOL!

The ribbon is some paper ribbon from my stash which I've stapled to the card and I added some pearls by Hero Arts.

I hope you like it and thanks for looking! x

Whiff of Joy Challenge DT - Pins and Lace

Woohoo! It is time for another challenge at Whiff of Joy Challenge and this fortnight our theme is Pins and Lace - a perfect combination for any card! I have used another of Whiff of Joy's cute new Christmas images - I love this one - so adorable for cards for couples! The papers were all scraps from my stash with no names I'm afraid. I have stitched them all and distressed them before adding stickles.
I have coloured the image with copics and added some details with a white gel pen. I also added liquid pearls to the mistletoe berries.
I created my own tag for the sentiment and fastened it to the card with a pin.
The mistletoe was created with a doohickey die and I added a mixture of half pearls and liquid pearls to the berries (as I ran out of half pearls LOL). The tiny bow is from The Hobby House and I added a bell from Papermania to the centre.
I have added both paper and real lace to my card. The paper lace was cut with a Tim Holtz die.
I hope you like it and I've inspired you to join us at Whiff of Joy Challenge! Pop over to the blog to see the rest of the team's stunning creations! Thanks for looking! x
