Simon Says Stamps Challenge DT - Animal Antics!

This week at Simon Says Stamps challenge our theme is Animal Antics, so we'd like to see animals on your cards!! As always we are sponsored by the Simon Says Stamp store with a whopping $50 voucher for the store!!!! Now that's a prize not to be missed! The DT are showcasing Stampabilities stamps this week and I choose this ultra cute House Mouse image, Lip Smackin Relaxin.

I've teamed it with papers from Tim Holtz Vintage Shabby paper pad - LOVE all the papers in this pad they're soooo gorgeous!!

I coloured the image with copics and added a touch of stickles to the marshmallows for a sugary look.

The flowers are Prima Athena in coral except the small roses from my stash. The velvet ribbon is also from Prima.

I used the Tim Holtz scrollwork die along the edges of the grey paper.

The swirls were cut with Holtz flourTim ishes die and the beautiful pearl strands were a gift from my lovely teamie Jo - thanks again hun!

Hope you like it and I've inspired you to join us this week at Simon Says Stamps challenge! Pop over to the blog to see the rest of the teams gorgeous creations! Thanks for looking! x

Simon Says Stamp's Challenge DT - Summertime Blues

This week at Simon Says Stamp's challenge we have a theme for you - "summertime blues", so we'd like to see blue on your cards and projects. As always you have the chance to win a whopping $25 gift certificate for the Simon Says Stamp store from Heidi!

The DT are showcasing Stampabilities stamps this week so I chose to use this cute House Mouse image. The papers are from Basic Grey's Euphoria pad. I have to admit I struggled with this card and tried several different papers and embellishments and am still not entirely happy but I ran out of time.

I have coloured the image with copics and added glossy accents to the glass and icecube which looks great in real life but difficult to show on a photo unfortunately.

I added some pink Prima hydrangeas to lift the blue together with a button and some blue flowers from my stash. The sentiment is from hAnglar & sTanglar, stamped with faded jeans distress ink and cut out with a nestability tag die.

I punched the cardstock under the image with MS double loops punch and threaded it with some ribbon from my stash.

Hope you like it and can join us this week at Simon Says Stamp's Challenge. Pop over to the blog and see the rest of the teams gorgeous cards. Thanks for looking! x

THE MYSTERY LETTER FOR MY BLOG IS P.

Here is my card. The DT are show casing Stampabilities stamps this week (House Mouse, Happy Hoppers, Gruffies), but as we realise some of you may not have these stamps we have a recipe challenge for you of 3 different types of embellishments, 2 papers and 1 image. If you have a Stampability stamp we'd love to see it on your creation! I have also managed to make this card to fit two other challenges, Basic Grey's sketch by Martine and the Colour Create Challenge of red, white, pink and chocolate. My papers are both from the Basic Grey Indian Summer collection and I've distressed them with vintage photo distress ink and stickles.

I have coloured my House Mouse "geronimo" image with distress inks and distressed the edge of the image with vintage photo distress ink and stickles also.

I added some blossoms to match the cherry blossoms on the image. They were white but I inked the edges with tattered rose and sprayed them with glimmer mist. My flowers are my first type of embellishment.

I added some swirls of pearlescent card using my new punch - can you tell I'm loving this punch LOL??? It is everywhere this week!! and I added some gorgeous lace from my stash as my second type of embellishment and the pearls in the top right corner are my third type!

Hope you like it and thanks for stopping by!! Have fun and good luck!

Next head over to Jo to see what fabulous inspiration she has for you! x
