The Pretty Little Ribbon Shop DT and Whiff of Joy DT - Be My Valentine!

 Woohoo!  Happy New Year!!!  It is time for another challenge over at The Pretty Little Ribbon Shop Challenge and also time for me to share my favourite image from Whiff of Joy's new collection being released on 5th January!  Our challenge them at Pretty Little Ribbon shop for this month is "Be My Valentine".  I have used papers from the Winter Garden pad from Panduro Hobby.

 How amazing is this Henry Mouse!?!?!  I love him with all that swirling ribbon and his cheeky little tongue sticking out as he aims LOL!  I've coloured him with copics and added stickles to his wings.  I've inked around the image with worn lipstick distress ink.

 I added a selection of flowers from my stash and the gorgeous ribbon and twine are from The Pretty Little Ribbon Shop as are the heart pins.  The charm is from The Hobby House.  I used Tim's Vintage Lace die to create the paper lace around the edge of the heart.

 The gorgeous sentiment is by Cat's Life Press, from The Pretty Little Ribbon Shop - I love circular sentiments don't you!?  I've inked around the edges of it with worn lipstick to match the image and added another double bow and a flower to the side.

Lili of the Valley challenge

Another card with the papers from that gorgeous MME Jack and Jill range! I've followed the stunning sketch at Lili of the Valley challenge! Thanks for such a gorgeous sketch!!!

This is Rae with journal by Mo Manning! can't quite make up my mind if she looks deep in thought or if she's looking at the butterfly but either way it's a gorgeous image! I've coloured her with distress inks and inked around the edge lightly with spiced marmalade distress ink. I have mounted the image onto yellow glitter card from the Hobby House, it gives a really lovely soft sparkle to the card!

Instead of the two strips of the sketch I used a MS deep edge punch to create two strips of lacey detail. I've backed it with more of the glitter card so that you can see the punched design rather than the patterned paper which looked too busy! I've also replaced the two buttons of the sketch with my butterfly - hope this is OK to participate in the challenge! The flowers, flower buttons and gems are all from the Hobby House. Aren't those clear flower buttons gorgeous! The butterfly is the first one with my replacement MS butterfly punch (I suppose it had done rather a lot of butterflies before it broke).

The gorgeous gingham ribbon is from the Hobby House and I thought it brought out the red of the paper nicely.

Lili of the Valley challenge

This is my entry for the Lili of the Valley challenge which I am entering for the first time after seeing Jacqui's gorgeous card this week. The challenge is to make a Christmas card for a child, so I decided I would make a non traditional pink card for one of my Neices, although I might keep it for my daughter now as I love how it turned out!

I used the gorgeous Sarah Kay stamp, I have coloured her with copics but I paper pieced her dress and the bow on her hat because this image just seems like some of it should be tartan to me LOL! I distressed the edges of the oval with tattered rose distress ink and also stamped a Stempelglede grunge stamp around the edges in the same ink.

I have added a tulle bow and the snowflake charm is tied in with the bow using some silver jewellery wire.

I thought these fun shaped letters were perfect for a children's card, they are from Doodlebug and I have covered them in glitter glue. All the snowflakes are double layered, a pink one and a white glittered one, made with Woodware snowflake punch.

The tulle runs underneath the image and I have secured it at the bottom with a gem.

I apologise if I don't get round to you all today but I hurt my neck and back over a year ago and have struggled with it ever since but this morning when I turned over in bed my back did the most horrendous crunch (yikes). I think it is actually a crunch that has corrected whatever was out of place but as it has been out of place for so long it is now hurting rather a lot so I don't want to sit here too long and make it worse! x
