All About Magnolia DT - All About Wings

Good evening!  Today I'd like to share my card for our reminder post at All About Magnolia Challenge.  Our theme for this month is All About Wings.  Perfect for Christmas cards as there are so many gorgeous Tildas to chose from that have wings, and a couple of Edwins too!

I have chosen one of my favourite Christmas Tildas from the Sweet Christmas Dreams Collection.  She reminds me of my daughter so I have used it to make her Christmas card for this year!  As always I have painted her with Distress Inks using the no lines technique.  I have added Stardust Stickles to her wings and the gift and also to the Snowy Circle stamp which is from the So Jolly and Under the Mistletoe Collection.

I have used the snowflakes Doohickey from the Aspen Holidays Collection to create the snowflakes from silver glitter paper recycled from last year's Christmas crackers and added gems to the centres.

I have died white seam binding with Tatterred Rose Distress Ink, to match the ribbon on the gift.  The papers are by Maja Design.

The 'Daughter' die cut is from my stash.

I hope you like it and I've inspired you to join us at All About Magnolia Challenge.  Pop over to the blog to see the rest of the team's gorgeous creations.  Thanks for looking! x

All About Magnolia DT - All About Shaped Cards

Good morning!  It is time for our reminder post over on the All About Magnolia Challenge Blog and our theme this month is 'Shaped Cards'.  I love making cards using the heart Doohickey frame from Magnolia's Vintage Box 5.  It was perfect for making my parents a special anniversary card for their 50th wedding annivesary.

I painted the stunning Mr & Mrs Magnolia stamp from the You Are Invited Collection with Distress Inks using the no lines technique.

I was so pleased with how the painting turned out that I didn't want to detract from it with too many embellishments, so opted for a few sequins and the golden, glittery number 50 cut with a Tim Holtz die.

The bow was also cut with the Tim Holtz Bow-Tied die.

All About Magnolia Challenge - Anything Goes

Good morning!  We are back after our summer break at All About Magnolia Challenge and our theme is 'Anything Goes'.  I'm still reminiscing about the glorious summer we had this year with today's card.
I have painted the stunning Toes in the Sand Tilda from the Pool Party Collection with Distress Inks.  I've also used a couple of Distress Ink markers to add details to the sand and Stickles to make her drink sparkle.
The gorgeous lace is from Craft Heaven and the sentiment die cut by Cut & Make which is just perfect this image.
I cut a couple of pennant flags from the pennants Doohickey from Volume 14 and used the Tilda's Ticket Doohickey for the tags.
The flip flop charm is from Craft Heaven and the cord I recycled from a clothes label.
I love it when you can use Doohickey dies for something other than their original design.  I used the Tower Doohickey to create the sandcastles by cutting it four times and then slicing the top off at different heights.  I used another pennant flag to top the sandcastle.
I hope you like it and can join us this month at All About Magnolia.  Thanks for looking!

All About Magnolia DT - All About Spring

Good evening!  I'm a little late blogging my All About Magnolia post today as it was back to work after the Easter holiday (sad face).  This month over at All About Magnolia Challenge our theme is 'All About Spring'.  A perfect excuse to use the super sweet Tilda With Little Chickens from the Sunbeam Collection.

I have made a shadow box card of Tilda standing underneath the Cherry Blossoms.  I love the sight of Cherry Blossom in the spring, I have one in my garden and it always cheers me up to see it!  I spent a very long time die cutting the tiny little lilac flowers from the Lilac Doohickey from last year's Summer Collection to create the blossom on the trees and all of the fallen blossom on the floor.  I have a photo of my daughter dressed from head to toe in pink, standing in a wood of pink Azalea that is above her and on the floor: this was the inspiration for this scene.

I filled the rest of the card with things that come to mind for me when I think of spring.  Primroses using some Prima flowers of the correct shade, umbrellas using the Umbrella Doohickey and some birds using a die from Vintage Box 5.

The leaf sprigs were also cut with a die from Vintage Box 5 and I added a few blossoms to them with the Lilac die.  The papers are all by Maja Design.

Another sweet bird and a few b

All About Magnolia DT - Bingo!

Good morning!  Today I have my card for the All About Magnolia Challenge to share with you.  We have a Bingo card to play around with for this month's challenge.  I have chosen the diagonal line, 'Flowers, Doohickey dies, Pearls', for my card.
I painted Masquerade Tilda using the no lines technique as always.  If you would like to see how I painted her check out my YouTube Channel here.  The stars around Tilda are the offcuts from the star swirl die I've used below.
I have added some tulips and hydrangeas from my stash, along with a flower cut with the Peony Doohickey die.
I have used lots of Doohickeys on today's card.  The Masquerade mask is from the You Are Invited Collection and the little clutch bag is from a past Doohickey kit.
I've also used a tag Doohickey and the Tilda's Ticket Doohickey.  The seam binding was white but I have dyed it wih Old Paper Distress Ink so that it matches the papers.
The lace is from Craft Heaven and here you can see the star swirl underneath the image.
The feathers are also cut with Doohickey dies.
I hope you like it and I've inspired you to join us at All About Magnolia Challenge!  Pop over to the blog to see the rest of the team's gorgeous creations.  Thanks for looking! x

All About Magnolia DT - Under the Sea

Good morning!  Today I'd like to share my card for the All About Magnolia Challenge.  Our theme this month is 'Lace and Pearls'.
I have painted the gorgeous 'A Fish Kisses to Tilda' with Distress Inks using the no lines technique.  I have added white dots with a gel pen and highlighted different areas of the image with a Wink of Stella pen, Stickles and Glossy Accents.
I have used lots of Doohickey dies on this card!  The jelly fish were cut from Maja Design's Celebration papers.
The cute seahorse is also a Doohickey and cut from another paper in the collection.  I have added bubbles with Glossy Accents.
The orchids were cut with the Orchid Doohickey from coffee filter paper.  I have added pink stamens and details with Aged Mahogany Distress Ink.
All of the sea plants were cut with Doohickey dies from various papers from Maja's Celebration collection.  I have added just a single pearl on the sea bed to fit the challenge and some Scrapiniec chipboard pieces to represent shells.
The anchor is another Doohickey die.

All About Magnolia DT - All About Christmas

Good morning!  Today I'd like to share my card for our All About Christmas challenge that is running on the All About Magnolia Challenge blog this month.  I have used one of the gorgeous new stamps from the Christmas Party collection.
As always I have painted Tilda with Distress Inks using the no lines technique.  I have also used a gold pen for the trims and epaulettes on her gorgeous outfit.  She reminds me of one of the toy soldiers from the Nutcracker ballet, which I love to watch at Christmas.
I have also used a sentiment from the collection.  It is great value as it comes with some accessory stamps too.
I treat myself to a die I have wanted for a long time this year - the gingerbread house.  It is so much fun to put together.  My little girl has made lots of them to hang on her Christmas tree and give out to her friends.  I have added a tiny bell and some twine from my stash to the top of the house.
I made the candy canes using one of the accessory stamps.  I have covered them with Glossy Accents so that they look like real candy canes.
The tag was cut with a Doohickey die and the flowers and berry are from my stash.  The gorgeous Maja Design papers and the lace are from Craft Heaven.
The cute wooden buttons are also from Craft Heaven.  I think they look like tiny gingerbread cookies, so they are perfect to match the sentiment!
I hope you like it and I've inspired you to join us at All About Magnolia this month.  Thanks for looking! x
