Sundays With Crissy Challenge DT - Animals

Woohoo!  I'm back with my second project for today.  It is my turn to create for the Sundays With Crissy challenge and this month our theme is "Animals".   I had great fun creating this easel card to look like a pond and lily pad for Crissy's handsome "Frog Prince" digi from Whimsy Stamps.  It is made just like an ordinary easel card except I cut the easel part as a thin strip so it is hidden by the frog.
I've coloured the image with copics and added some stickles to the jewel on his crown.
I cut the lily pad freehand from some coredinations cardstock and the lily flower was created with some poinsettia flowers cut with a Marianne Creatables die.  I then added some stamens from my stash.
I created a little sign and have written the Hoppy  Birthday myself.  Although there is the lily flower I think this card could still be given to a man - what do you think??
I hope you like it and I've inspired you to join us this month at Sundays With Crissy Challenge.  You still have a few more days left to enter!  Thanks for looking! x

Pink Ink Sketch Challenges DT - Kellie's Sketch!

Well, as you read this I will have actually set off on my holiday and have probably already been asked if we're nearly there yet by my extremely excited children :). They have been beyond excitement for weeks, bless them, with my little boy wanting to pack his suitcase almost daily LOL!

I can't believe that it is already time for another challenge at our Pink Ink Sketch Challenge blog!! Thank you all so much for your support and gorgeous entries with my sketch! This fortnight our sketch has been created by the talented Kellie! Not only that, but Kellie is also sponsoring the challenge with a fabulous prize from her amazing store Tickled Pink Stamps!!! I recently won the most amazingly generous candy from the my lovely and talented friend Mina and couldn't wait to ink up one of the gorgeous Sugar Nellie stamps she sent me! Thanks so much Mina! x

She is called Honey Bee from Sugar Nellie. I've coloured her with copics and added glossy accents to the honey jar and stickles to the bee's wings.

This shot shows the glossy accents and stickles much better - how scrummy does the honey pot look with that high shine!?!?!

I added a gorgeous chiffon bow from my stash and instead of the circle sentiment on Kellie's sketch I added a tag with a sentiment from Whiff of Joy. The edge was die cut with a Magnolia doohickey die.

I hope you like it and I've inspired you to join us for our second Pink Ink Sketch challenge! Pop over to the blog to see the rest of the team's amazing creations! Thanks for looking! x

This is another of the cards using Sugar Nellie images that I created for The Hobby House. This one is Little Farmer -isn't he cute!! My little boy has a sit on tractor so this image really reminds me of when he was a toddler on it! The papers are Dream Street Papers from The Hobby House.

I coloured the image with copics and added some felt stars that were in my kit from The Hobby House.

The sentiment is from Whiff of Joy's general sayings II kit and I added some gems from The Hobby House underneath for a bit of interest.

I added a button through the largest star with some button twine from Whiff of Joy.

Hope you like it and thanks for looking! x

My First Simply Sassy for The Sugar Bowl!

My first Simply Sassy card - woohoo!! I have loved these since the very first release but don't get much time to make cards "just for me" as it were and didn't want to spend money on stamps that I wouldn't get time to use (makes a change LOL) but I managed to get a good couple of weeks in front of myself with DT stuff so bought a couple - yay!!! I have used Marlena's gorgeous sketch for The Sugar Bowl challenge and I've also included the extra requirement of buttons. I am also entering my card into the Colour Create challenge as I have used their colour combo of pink, blue and brown. The papers are some scraps from my stash so I'm afraid I don't have any makes for you.

Isn't she gorgeous? This one is called Fairytale. I really had a hard time choosing just two - as I have lots of favourites among them all! I've coloured her with copics and cut her out so that I could mount her onto some pink paper that I've given a "distressed" stitching pattern to.

The ribbon and button are from my stash and the charm is from The Hobby House. The button twine is from Whiff of Joy and the flowers are Wild Orchid Crafts. The leaves were punched from kraft cardstock with a Magnolia doohickey.

Hope you like it and thanks for looking! x

The Sugar Bowl Challenge

It is such a long time since I entered the challenge at The Sugar Bowl!! I just had to join in with their sketch seeing as I am making a collection using Sugar Nellie stamps!!! As with the other three cards, the gorgeous papers are by Dream Street Papers from The Hobby House. The brads are from The Hobby House too.

Isn't this little boy fishing just the sweetest!?!? He's called "To catch a big fish". I've coloured him with copics and added a touch of stickles to the fish and the water. The sentiment is from Whiff of Joy's 1001 Nights collection and was just perfect for this image LOL!!! I've stamped it with weathered wood distress ink.

Hope you like it and thanks for looking! x

Another Sugar Nellie card

Another card for the collection I've been making for The Hobby House! This one was actually following the sketch at Truly Scrumptious challenge but I'm showing it too late to enter now LOL! Again the papers are by Dream Street Papers from The Hobby House.
I have coloured Isla by Sugar Nellie with copics - I love how her hair is blowing in the wind and her sweet little hat.
The ribbon and flower are from The Hobby House and the sentiment circle is a die cut from the matching die cut sheet for the papers.
Hope you like it and thanks for looking! x

Mojo Monday Challenge and an award!!!

I have another Sugar Nellie card I've made for The Hobby House to share with you today. I have followed the sketch at Mojo Monday for this one. The papers are by Dream Street Papers, from The hobby House.

I have coloured Erin with copics. The swirls around the image were punched with an EK success punch. The flowers, ribbon and gorgeous gemstone are all from The Hobby House. The little Thank You sentiment is a die cut from the Dream Street Papers set that matches the papers. I've inked the edges of it with victorian velvet distress ink.

Hope you like it and thanks for looking!
Before I go I have been given an award from Cor!!
Thank you so much for thinking of me, I really appreciate it and it made my day yesterday!!!

Sketch Saturday

There is a gorgeous sketch at Sketch Saturday this week, I just had to join in! This card is a commission for The Hobby House using a gorgeous Sugar Nellie image called "Mackenzie". The gorgeous papers are by Dream Street Papers, also from The Hobby House. The sentiment is from Whiff of Joy. I'm in the middle of sorting out all my sentiment stamps into one place as I tend to forget what I've got and not use one at all LOL. It is already working well even though I haven't finished sorting yet - much easier to browse through!
I have coloured the image with copics (no surprises there LOL).
The paper flowers and all the other little flowers are from The Hobby House as is the gorgeous flower ribbon.

Hope you like it and thanks for looking! x

The Sugar Bowl challenge

It has been an absolute age since I entered the Sugar Bowl challenge!! I'm so busy with my DT posts it is difficult to fit any other images in LOL! I had to use their challenge for at least one of the Sugar Nellie cards I made for The Hobby House though! Again, the papers are from Dream Street Papers and I've inked the edges with victorian velvet distress ink. I have used MS double loops around the page punches for one of the panels.
I coloured the image with copics.
The flowers are a selection from The Hobby House as are the flower centres. I also added some punched butterflies using a MS punch.
Hope you like it and thanks for looking! x

Mojo Monday challenge

This is another one of the cards I made for the Hobby House using those gorgeous Dream Street Papers. I have inked the edges of the papers with victorian velvet distress ink and I followed the scrummy Mojo Monday sketch. I have used MS doily lace punch along the bottom edge of one of the panels and a gorgeous grosgrain ribbon from The Hobby House.
Isn't this Sugar Nellie image gorgeous? I've coloured her with copics (no surprise there then LOL).
I added a selection of flowers, all from The Hobby House. The white flower centres are little beads from the Hobby House and I have added the pearls myself.

Hope you like it and thanks for looking! x
