Craft Heaven DT - Good Luck Card

Good afternoon!  Today's card is a good luck card I made for my son for his first ever day at work.  I have used Maja Design papers from the Shades of Denim and the Vintage Romance Collections.  I have used the Magnolia Recipe Card Doohickey to cut the background paper.  The four-leafed clover was created using the heart from Magnolia's Woodland Tags Doohickey set.  The button is from my stash.

The bottom edge of the card was cut with Magnolia's Swedish Lace Doohickey die.

The lettering was created with Thinlits Elle dies and black cardstock.

I hope you like it and thanks for looking!

Magnolia DT - Trunk Packing Tilda

Good morning!  Today I have a card to share using another gorgeous stamp from the Let's Go! Collection, Trunk Packing Tilda.  I love how she's trying to squeeze everything in her suitcase!

As always I have painted her with Distress Inks using the no lines technique.  I have also used the New York postmark stamp from Magnolia around the edges of the image.

As soon as I saw this new stamp collection I knew that I had to make a card utilising the Suitcase Doohickey.  It's the perfect accessory for this collection!  It looks so cute!

I have also used the Doily Doohickey behind the image.  The papers are all Maja Design from Craft Heaven Shop and the flowers are from Craft Heaven too.

The gorgeous paper with "Say not farewell" on is an old paper by Magnolia.  The cute suitcase charm is also from Craft Heaven.

I used a cut out from a Pion Design paper at the other side of the image.

I hope you like today's card and thanks for looking! x

Goodbye and Good Luck!

Good morning!  Today I have a card to share that I made for my son to give one of his teachers who was leaving.
For the image I masked together four different stamps.  The owl, book, pencil and apple, slate and calculator stamps were all from Whiff of Joy several years ago.  The map stamp is Ocean Map from Magnolia.
I painted the scene with Distress Inks and added Glossy Accents to the apple, owl's glasses and the calculator screen.  I also added the Goodbye and good luck message with a white gel pen.
The four leaf clover is from Magnolia.
I hope you like it and thanks for looking! x

Magnolia-Licious Challenge DT - Inspirational Photo - Buttons!

Woohoo!!!  It is time for another Magnolia-Licious Challenge and we have a gorgeous photo for your inspiration full of buttons!  We'd like to see you use buttons on your creations this fortnight, any colour and any amount!  I created a pair of little cards for a friend's little girls to wish them luck on their first day at school.  The cards are almost identical in design - didn't want them falling out over who had the cutest card :)!!
Here's a closer look at the first card.
I used the gorgeous Autumn Tilda with Pencils #320 and coloured the image with copics.  I gave Tilda the same colour hair as the recipient - I love to do that, makes the card so much more personal I think!
I used the Back 2 School sentiment from Whiff of Joy as the little girl is starting her third year in school.  I added lots of buttons from my stash and a flower too.
The best of Luck sentiment is also from Whiff of Joy.  I added a large butterfly cut with a Martha Stewart punch and added some lace from my stash too.
Here's a close up of the second card!!
As you can see, I used the same image but this time coloured her with blonde hair to match the recipient's  hair colour!
It was this little girl's first day at school.  For the sentiment I used a Whiff of Joy stamp "It's Your Day" and added the "1st" to it by hand.  I used a different die for the sentiment mat as the one I used on the first card wouldn't fit the sentiment!  The rest of the details are exactly the same as for the first card.
I hope you like them and I've inspired you to join us at Magnolia-Licious Challenge!  Don't forget, Diana sponsors our challenge and we now have a secret special surprise for the lucky winner!!

Just Magnolia & hAnglar & sTanglar DT - My Sketch

Woohoo!!  It is time for another challenge at Just Magnolia and hAnglar & sTanglar challenge and this week it is my turn to host the challenge and I've provided a sketch which I hope you'll enjoy using!  I'm also sooooooooooo excited today - I'm going to watch Swan Lake tonight!!  eeeek!!!  I have always wanted to see a ballet and I just can't wait!  My card may look a little familiar as it is very similar to my preview Goodbye and Good Luck card - they were made on the same night for two teachers who were leaving my Son's school!  The gorgeous papers are by Magnolia and I've distressed them with walnut stain distress ink.
Tilda is coloured with copics and I've added stickles to her apron, teardrop and lace on her handkerchief.  I've inked around the image mat with victorian velvet distress ink.
The tag was cut with a doohickey die and I have added some letter tiles created with Hampton Arts alphabet stamps.  The butterflies were punched with a Martha Stewart punch as was the border on the white cardstock.
The gorgeous blossom is by Prima and the rest of the flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts.
I added some cheesecloth behind the image and a butterfly charm from The Hobby House.

I hope you like it and I've inspired you to join us this week at Just Magnolia and hAnglar & sTanglar.  Pop over to the challenge blog to see the rest of the team's gorgeous creations!  Thanks for looking! x

Just Magnolia and hAnglar & sTanglar DT - Jacque's Sketch

Woohoo!!  It is time for another challenge at Just Magnolia and hAnglar & sTanglar challenge and this week we have a gorgeous sketch by Jacque.  I have used papers by Magnolia and distressed the edges with walnut stain distress ink.  Sorry about the poor photos, I suddenly remembered I had two good luck cards to make on 20th December and had to photograph them very early in the morning so my son could take them to school!
I have coloured Tilda with copics and added stickles to the apron on her dress and the lace on her hankerchief.  I've inked around the edge of the image mat with victorian velvet distress ink.
The large flower is by Prima and the rest of the flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts.  I have added some cheesecloth behind the image and some punched butterflies with a Martha Stewart punch.
I stamped the sentiment with individual alphabet stamps from Hampton Arts and then cut them out into little tiles.  The butterfly charm is from The Hobby House.
I sprayed the entire card with pearl glimmer mist - you can see in this photo how shimmery it makes the image.
I hope you like it and I've inspired you to join us this week at Just Magnolia and hAnglar & sTanglar.  Pop over to the challenge blog to see the rest of the team's stunning cards!  Thanks for looking! x

Whiff of Joy DT - sneak peek

Hehehehe If you visited earlier you'll know this post went up without any photos or details LOL! That will teach me to get organised and label all my posts ready! Anyway, it's here now and as you can see it is another of Norma Fickel's cute gnomes for the Whiff of Joy March release. I think this one can be used for many occasions too. I've used him as a good luck card and coloured the flowers as four leaf clovers but if you coloured them pink for example you could add pearls to the centres to turn them into pretty flowers!
I've coloured the image with copics (no surprises there then LOL).
I added some green jute from my stash along with a paper flower and a button threaded with some of Whiff of Joy's new button twine. I have hand written the sentiments onto kraft cardstock and attached them with brads from The Hobby House to the image mat.

Hope you like it and don't forget these gorgeous gnomes and the single stamps from the Love Bug kit will be available tomorrow from Whiff of Joy!! Thanks for looking! x
