Sundays With Crissy Challenge DT - Tags and Tickets

Woohoo!!  Today it is my turn to share my creation for the Sundays With Crissy Challenge and this month we want to see your Tags and Tickets - these can either be individual tags/tickets or on a card!  I chose to make a bottle tag to decorate the bottle of bubbly I gave my Brother and his wife for their anniversary!
I have used the gorgeous "Cute Cupid" by Crissy for Whimsy Stamps and coloured him with copics.  I added the obligatory stickles to his wings!
Here's a close look at him - isn't he gorgeous!?  The chipboard hearts are from Hobby Craft and I've covered those in stickles too - it wasn't quite dry when I took my photos - hence the blotchy look - apologies for that!
The sentiment is from Whiff of Joy and the flowers and lace are from my stash as is the gorgeous ribbon I've used for the bow at the top!  I have used Martha Stewart heart lace punch along the bottom of my tag.
I hope you like it and I've inspired you to join us this month at Sundays With Crissy!  You still have a few days left to enter!  Thanks for looking! x

Sundays With Crissy DT - Things With Wings

Woohoo!!  Today is my turn to share my creation for this month's challenge at Sundays With Crissy.  This month we'd like to see your creations using "Things With Wings".  I have used the gorgeous Rose Butterfly by Crissy, available from Whimsy Stamps.  I cut a tag shape by hand around the image with one of the wings protruding from the edge.  I then punched the bottom of the tag with Martha Stewart Doily Lace Punch.
I have coloured the butterfly with copics and stamped around the edges with a Stempelglede stamp using Victorian Velvet and Weathered Wood distress inks.  I have inked the edges with Victorian Velvet and Walnut Stain distress inks.  Finally, I sprayed some Moonshine mist over the whole tag.  I have added a scrap of lace along the bottom of the tag.
I have added some sheer fabric to the top of the tag and then tied some ribbon around it.
The swirls were cut with a Cheery Lynn die and I have added some roses from my stash and a gorgeous pink Prima flower.  The gem stems are from Hobby Craft.
I hope you like it and I've inspired you to join us this month at Sundays With Crissy.  There are still a few days left to enter!  Thanks for looking! x

Sundays With Crissy DT - Your Favourite Colour Combination

Woohoo!!  It is my turn to create a card for the Sundays With Crissy challenge and this month our theme is to use your favourite colour combination.  Mine is aqua, pink and white/cream - I just love these colours together!  Of course, that may have to do with the fact that my all time favourite papers by Girl's Paperie are in those colours :)!!  I have sewn and distressed the paper edges.
I have used the gorgeous Maya Blowing Bubbles by Crissy from Whimsy Stamps.  Isn't she gorgeous!?  I've coloured her with copics and added glossy accents to the bubbles.  I've created the grass around her with copics too.
I created the "tutu" flower myself with some netting and I backed the glass pebble with a piece of the Girl's Paperie paper.  The other flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts.
The sentiment is from the new Magnolia kit, I've just cut it up to create separate words to dot around my card.  The ribbon and button are from my stash and the twin is from The Pretty Little Ribbon Shop.
I hope you like it and I've inspired you to join us this month at Sunday's With Crissy!  You still  have a few days left to enter!  Pop over to the challenge blog for more details.  Thanks for looking! x

Sundays With Crissy DT - Birthdays

Woohoo!!! It is my turn today to show you my card for the current challenge on the Sundays With Crissy challenge blog!  I had so much fun creating this card using Crissy's oh so cute "spring lamb" from Whimsy Stamps.  So much fun, in fact, that I printed her twice :)!!  All so that I could add the sentiment that I created on the computer - LOL such a fun card!  The papers are some scraps from my stash.
I coloured my images with copics and created a little grass for them to stand on too.  I added some faux stitching in the corners of the image mat.
The gorgeous green netting/ribbon is recycled from a bouquet of flowers from my hubby, the button is from my stash and the twine is from Whiff of Joy.
I used Martha Stewart Flower Shower punch along the bottom of the brown cardstock and added some faux stitching above it.
I hope you like it and I've inspired you to join us at Sundays With Crissy!  You could win five of Crissy's digi images, and not only that, if you use one of Crissy's digi or rubber images on your card you'll be entered into the draw twice!  Thanks for looking! x

Sundays With Crissy DT - Beat The Mid-Winter Blues

Woohoo!!  It is my turn to create a card for the latest challenge at Sundays With Crissy challenge and this month our theme is "Beat the Mid-Winter Blues".  The best way to beat them, I thought, is to make a bright, summery card with lots of gorgeous flowers!  The paper is from the Prima Annalee pad, inked with walnut stain distress ink.
I have coloured Crissy's gorgeous image, Birdie Friend,  with copics.
I have added lots of gorgeous flowers from my stash to create a little garden for her.  The gorgeous satin flower is by Prima.
I added a bit of doohickey fence and some spotted ribbon from The Pretty Little Ribbon Shop.
I hope you like it and I've inspired you to join us at Sunday's With Crissy - there are still four more days to join in!  Thanks for looking! x

Sundays With Crissy Challenge DT - Anything Goes!

Woohoo!! It is my turn to share my card for this month's Sundays With Crissy challenge!  This month our challenge is nice and easy - anything goes!!!  Usually the DT use Crissy's gorgeous digi images but my printer has broken so I have used an equally gorgeous stamp by Crissy, Jingle Bell Ride from Whimsy Stamps.

I have coloured the image with Prismacolor pencils and copics and added stickles to the mane and tail and the fur trims.  I wanted to create a really magical feel by adding a hazy background and lots of gold stickles dots.

I think this image is so gorgeous it hardly needs embellishing.  I opted for some bakers twine from the Pretty Little Ribbon Shop as it reminded me of the candy canes on the image and a button from my stash.

I hope you like it and I've inspired you to join us this month at Sundays with Crissy Challenge!  Thanks for looking! x

Sundays With Crissy DT - Non Traditional Christmas

Woohoo! It is my turn to inspire you to join our challenge over at Sundays With Crissy which this month is "Christmas in non traditional colours" - so no reds and greens. I love soft mint green with pink for non traditional Christmas cards so went with that. The snowflake paper is by Whiff of Joy and the pink was a small scrap from my stash. I've sewn the edges and distressed them.

I just had to use the gorgeous Zoe and Gemma's Snow Fun that Crissy drew for Wags n Whiskers, available from Bunny Zoes. I've coloured the image with copics and added some stickles here and there.

The plastic snowflake is from a cheap decoration garland I bought last year (with the sole purpose of taking the snowflakes off it LOL) and the blossom is from Wild Orchid Crafts. The sentiment is from Whiff of Joy.

I added some flowers from my stash along with some bead strings (also from the snowflake garland). The spacer and brad are from The Hobby House.

Hope you like it and I've inspired you to join us at Sundays With Crissy challenge! Pop over the to the blog for some more gorgeous inspiration - you still have 3 days to join in! Thanks for looking! x

Sundays with Crissy DT - Thanksgiving/Thanks

Woohoo! It is my turn to create a card for this month's Sundays With Crissy challenge which this month is Thanks/Thanksgiving. You have until the end of October to enter - I hope you can join us! I have used a stunning digi image by Crissy, called "Stuffed Turkey" LOL. This image really makes me chuckle and I think he's perfect for Christmas cards, Thanksgiving cards and even a Thank You card after you've had a dinner party somewhere! I have used papers from MME's Christmas Glitter paper pad.

I have coloured the image with copics and inked around the edges of the image mat with gathered twigs distress ink.

The sentiment is from Whiff of Joy and the mistletoe diecuts were cut with a Magnolia doohickey die. I have added gold stickle berries.

I added some ribbon from my stash and a berry spray from Hobby Craft. The doily is recycled from a recent restaurant visit :)! LOL I made everyone take their doilies from under their desert bowls before the started eating - always on the look out for useful card making items LOL!

Sundays With Crissy DT - Friendship

Woohoo! Today it is my turn to create for the Sundays With Crissy challenge which this month is "Friendship". I have used papers by MME for my card, all distressed with walnut stain distres ink.

How cute is this new image by Crissy available at Whimsy Stamps!?!? The image is called Frog Friends - just adorable! I've coloured the image with copics.

I used a Tim Holtz die for the tree and added some stylised leaves in the form of green buttons! I added a dragonfly charm from my stash with some button twine.

The sentiment is also from Whimsy Stamps and I threaded the tag to the card with some more button twine.

Hope you like it and I've inspired you to join us at Sundays With Crissy! There are still a few more days left if you want to join in! Thanks for looking! x

Sundays With Crissy DT - K.I.S.S!!!!

Woohoo!! I have been bursting to tell my news today!! The lovely and talented Crissy asked if I would like to join her Sundays with Crissy design team!!! Well I didn't have to think long about that, I can tell you!! Of course I said yes instantly and am so thrilled to be able to finally share my first card with you. The theme over at the Sundays With Crissy challenge blog this month is K.I.S.S. - Keep it simple stamper - and here is my take on the challenge. If you're a regular reader you will know that I don't usually do clean and simple cards - far from it! - so this was a true challenge for me but I love the clean look of my card, even though it was very hard to resist adding more and more to it!

I have used Crissy's gorgeous image Rose Butterfly from Whimsy Stamps - this is so beautiful and reminds me of William Morris style papers - which was the inspiration for the colours I have used on the image. I printed the butterfly direcly onto the kraft paper and coloured it with Prismacolor pencils. I also printed it a second time so that I could cut out the top wings to add some dimension to the image.

I created the sentiment on the computer and added some gems from The Hobby House to represent the flight path of the butterfly. The border along the bottom is a Martha Stewart punch (I just couldn't resist LOL) and I added some faux stitching with a black fine liner pen and the white line with a Prismacolor pencil. Then I had to sit on my hands for a long time to prevent me from adding any more doodling or embellishments LOL!

I hope you like it and I've inspired you to join us at Sundays with Crissy!! There are still a few more days left to join in and there is a fabulous prize up for grabs!! Thanks for looking! x
