Whiff of Joy DT - Henry in Love preview!

I have another Whiff of Joy digi preview to share with you today! This one is Henry in Love - I love the cute expression on his face! I have used the sketch at Stamp with Fun for my card and my papers are by MME.

I have coloured Henry with copics and used a nestie label to cut him out.

Look at these amazing dies from Whiff of Joy that will also be released on 1st April!!!! I absolutely adore the cuter than cute teeny tag! The actual die has a large tag in the same style with a hole reinforcer AND this baby tag too!! I love the "X O" border die too (OK I love them all and I have three more to show you yet!). The X and O on the tag are the waste cut outs from the border die! I added some ribbon and a button from my stash and used some button twine from Whiff of Joy to attach the tag and button!

Hope you like it and thanks for looking! x

Whiff of Joy DT Preview and Whiff of Joy Challenge DT - Anything but Square

It is time for another challenge at Whiff of Joy Challenges and this fortnight we'd like to see cards in any shape but square!! My card features another preview digi image to be released on 1st April at Whiff of Joy - Prima Ballerina Nora - isn' she cute!? I've coloured her with copics and added lots of stickles to her dress and glossy accents to her ballet pumps. The heart die cut is from Whiff of Joy too as is the leaf die cut. The flowers are from my stash.
Of course, every ballerina needs her ballet pumps which was the inspiration for the shape of my card! I drew the shoes shape myself and the bottom of the easel was cut with a Go Create die.

I added a satin bow from my stash to represent the ribbon ties of the shoes and the sentiment is from Whiff of Joy, stamped with Victorian Velvet distress ink.

Here's the card folded up ready for posting with cute little Nora peeping out from under the shoes LOL! Hope you like it and I've inspired you to join in with the challenge! Check out the rest of the team's gorgeous shaped cards! Thanks for looking! x

Simon Says Stamp DT - Domi's sketch

Wednesday already and time for another Simon Says Stamp challenge!! As always we are sponsored by the wonderful Heidi with a whopping $50 credit voucher for the Simon Says Stamp store!!

This week our challenge is a gorgeous sketch by Domi. The team are showcasing Penny Black stamps so if you have any we'd love to see them on your cards but it isn't a requirement to enter the challenge!

My card features several Penny Black stamps from the Garden Friends set as I just couldn't decide which one to use LOL! My papers are from Prima's Annalee paper pad - sooo in love with these papers! I've distressed them with walnut stain distress ink and also stitched them.

They remind me of Beatrix Potter drawings - don't you think?? With this in mind I wanted to colour them in soft colours to give a watercoloured effect - I love the result!

I added some lace from my stash and the spotty scalloped border under the lace is cut from the Prima papers.

All the flowers are by Prima. The large white daisy is a Prima e-line flower and the other two are Athena flowers - my faves!! The leaves were punched with a woodware punch.

Hope you like it and I've inspired you to join us this week at Simon Says Stamp challenge! Pop over to the blog to see the rest of the team's stunning creations! Thanks for looking! x

Whiff of Joy DT - Another preview meets Mojo Monday

Woohoo! I'm back with another preview from the amazing digi images to be released by Whiff of Joy on 1st April! This one is Soccer Ben and he's so cute and perfect for all those little boy cards! I have used the sketch at Mojo Monday for my card - it fitted perfectly with the football background I had in mind already!! I have drawn and cut the shapes of the football myself - phew! - who knew creating a football could be so complicated LOL, it took a lot longer than I had anticipated!!

I have coloured Ben with copics and popped him on foam pads so he stands out from the card. A glutton for punishment I also drew the small ball that Ben is standing next too although it was much easier after the headache of the large one LOL!

Along with the digi images there are some amazing dies being released on 1st April and a brilliant set of sentiments too. This sentiment is from the set and the four leaf clover die is one of the dies! The grass die is from Whiff of Joy too, from a previous release and I must say it is one of my most used dies! Brilliant for creating scenes!

Hope you like it and thanks for looking! x

Just Chill'n for Quixotic Paperie!

A bright, summery card to share with you today using the cute Just Chill'n by Victoria Case for SCACD available from Quixotic Paperie!! I have used the amazing sketch at Friday Sketchers for my card and the papers are all by Bo Bunny.
Wish I had a figure like this LOL!! I've coloured her with copics and added stickles to her earing and glossy accents to her sunglasses, glass and lips for a lip gloss shine!

I made the flowers from some of the paper using Tim Holtz' tattered florals die and the pearl brads are from The Hobby House.

The ribbon is from my stash and the sentiment is from Whiff of Joy's Life's a Beach stamp kit.

Hope you like it and thanks for looking! x

Whiff of Joy DT - A double preview!

My card today features two more previews from the Whiff of Joy digital images to be released on 1st April - Samurai Henry and Large Tree. Of course, being digital images it is easy to merge them together to create all kinds of great scenes! I have used paper from Basic Grey's Curio paper pad.

I have coloured both images with copics and inked around the edges of the image with walnut stain distress ink. I created the sentiment myself on the computer and printed it onto kraft cardstock.

The fabulous chinese style trinket is by Papermania - perfect for this Samurai image! I have tied it on with Whiff of Joy's button twine.

Hope you like it and don't forget to stop by to see another preview tomorrow! Thanks for looking! x

Whiff of Joy DT - Sweet Nora Preview!

Another preview from Whiff of Joy today! This gorgeous little girl is called "Sweet Nora" - she's so cute!! I have used papers from my scraps draw for this card, I'm not sure of the make but they are from The Hobby House. I am entering my card into the Colour Create challenge as they would like to see pastel colours.

I coloured Nora with copics and added stickles to parts of her dress and hat. I inked around the edge of the image mat with Victorian Velvet distress ink.

I added a Prima hydrangea along with a rose from Wild Orchid crafts and the deep pink flowers are from a flower spray I picked up in my local garden centre. The gorgeous brad is from Whiff of Joy and the tiny bead flowers are from The Hobby House.

The gorgeous lace is from Really Reasonable Ribbons and the chipboard butterfly is from Hobby Craft. I painted it with crackle paint, inked with victorian velvet and covered it in stickles. I stamped the sentiment with some individual letter stamps.

Hope you like it and thanks for looking! x

Another Hoppie for Mojo Monday

I almost forgot to show you my other Hoppie card I made for The Hobby House I have so much going on at the moment!! This one was made to the gorgeous sketch at Mojo Monday and I've used papers by October Afternoon.

Isn't she adorable!?!? This is "Favourite Doll" and I've coloured her with copics. The velvet ribbon and gorgeous crystal flower bead are from The Hobby House too although I believe the flowers are sold out at the minute - they flew off the shelves at Harrogate!
I added a gorgeous arrangememnt of blossoms and roses from The Hobby House together with some beautiful pearl plastic flowers arranged with gems from The Hobby House for a flower swirl.
Hope you like it and thanks for looking! x

Magnolia Down Under Challenge DT - Shabby Chic

Woohoo!! Time for another challenge at Magnolia Down Under and this week is one of my favourite challenges - shabby chic!! I do love this style although sadly I seem to be doing it less and less and I don't really know why! All my cards used to be this style - it felt so good to make my card like this again that I think I shall be changing my style back to my original one more often!! I'm also entering my card into Paperplay challenge who would like to see distressing. I used a scrap of paper from my stash that had been used on another card and taken off so it was perfect for a shabby chic look as it had some torn patches where the glue had been! I think it is by BoBunny but I'm not sure. The edges were distressed with walnut stain distress ink.

I coloured Tilda and her little bunny friend with copics and tore the edges of the image mat before inking with walnut stain.
I added some gorgeous wide lace that was a gift from my Whiff of Joy teamie Tanja and I was really brave and used some of my precious Tim Holtz ribbon - LOVE this tattered flower one!
I added some Prima flowers and a blossom from Wild Orchid Crafts together with some die cut leaves from a doohickey die. The large button came out of the washer when it was repaired LOL hence it's distressed look!!! The small pearl button is from The Hobby House.
I cut out the cute butterfly from the Magnolia spring kit and popped it on the corner of the image.
Hope you like it and I've inspired you to join us this week at Magnolia Down Under Challenge! Pop over to the blog to see the stunning cards from my teamies! Thanks for looking! x

Whiff of Joy DT - a cute Ben preview!

I have a super cute preview for you today from Whiff of Joy that will be released on 1st April as a digi image. Here's Ben playing his guitar! I have used a mix of papers from my stash - one is Cosmo Cricket but I'm not sure on the other, sorry. I have stitched all the edges.

I coloured Ben with copics - I had to use a different colour for his face as one of my skin colours ran out - what do you think? Not much else to say as I kept the embellishments simple with it being for a boy. The star brad was a gift from my lovely friend Gio and I added a Tim Holtz adage ticket too.

Hope you like it and watch out for another preview tomorrow! Thanks for looking! x

Whiff of Joy DT - Preview time!!!

Woohoo!! It is time for another set of previews from Whiff of Joy and this time Katharina is having a digi release due to popular demand!! Today's card features four of the new images! I had such fun creating this! As you can see there are four super hero images being released on 1st April and so I thought it would be fun to create a little comic strip with them! Being digital images I could change the size of course so it worked perfectly!! I added borders and cartoon style k-pows etc with the computer before printing the whole design out to colour!
Here we have Betty and Henry rushing to the rescue in the city! I coloured the whole scene with copics after drawing the city background around them both.
Next Henry is wooshing up into the sky ready to battle the enemy!
Finally they've saved the day and Henry does his best hero pose! Again I drew the city and bridge background myself. Connor thinks it's cool so it has the official six year old approval LOL so I'm sure it will work it's way to one of his friends sometime soon!
I will be back with another preview for you tomorrow! Thanks for looking! x
