Just Magnolia Challenge

Here is my entry for this week's challenge for Just Magnolia to Bev's gorgeous sketch. Boy did this card cause me trouble!!! Don't know what on earth was wrong with me but I had to colour her twice as the first time the dress colour wasn't quite right, then took me ages to cut out my oval (I have to do everything with scissors and a craft knife as I've only just started crafting and don't have many things yet!....please include only squares on sketches LOL!!), then I had to cut out my own swirls by hand, I got the card finished then decided I didn't like the ribbon I'd chosen and had to sit carefully getting it back out the slots and thread a new bit in with it all stuck down! Not sure I'm actually pleased with the end result either because I think the paper I picked is too busy for everything else that is going on (you can't really see my swirls etc) or maybe its just because of all the trouble I had LOL. As I sat there cutting my ovals I kept saying to myself "must get a cuttlebug!" DH has given me some money to buy one but I can't decide as there are so many stamps and things I want too!

After all the trouble I'd had I decided to decorate the inside quite simply but I actually really like it.......oh look there's that New Year Swirl stamp again LOL!

I think that is a great card for the challenge, you are being too hard on yourself, guess we are our worst critics. Good luck with the challenge. Avril xx

This is great Jane but you do need to get a cuttlebug it would save you so much time, i wouldnt be without mine or i used fiskers templtes with a cutter for a while and found them really good but they dont do scallops.
Anyway its still a fab card.
