The Next Level Challenge, Roses on Paper challenge and ISB challenge

I started making this card for one challenge then realised it fitted with two more! Yay! So this is my card for: The Next Level challenge where they would like to see bows and buttons; Roses on Paper challenge where they would like you to make a gatefold card with stitching; and ISB challenge where the theme is Summer, and I love picking flowers from my garden in summer so I think this fits in perfectly! I have been hankering after this stamp since I began card making in February and finally got it last week, I just love her whole outfit but especially her huge floppy hat. I used to have all the Sarah Kay stickers around my mirror as a child so I think there is a little nostalgia thrown in for me too!

Here is a close up of the image. I have distressed the edges and stamped a Stempelglede grunge stamp in tattered rose distress ink.

I finally got some pins!!! I love this look on other people's cards but haven't been able to find any pins before.

Inside the card I repeated the image and framed it and I have made some pop out pieces for the sentiment and added some flowers and a butterly.

From this angle you can see how the card pops out inside. I stamped the grunge corner from Stempelglede with peeled paint distress ink onto green card and cut roughly around the shape before adding branches with my MS punch in the same card and some flowers with the EK success punch. The sentiment I have written myself with my calligraphy pen.

And here is the card from a different angle to show all the details. The ribbon bow holds the card closed. I have zig zag stitched some of the corners.

Image: Sarah Kay coloured with copics

Papers: K & Co and Coredinations cardstock

Roses: Boyes haberdashery department!

Flowers: EK success retro flower punch

Brads etc: from stash

Other equipment: Stempelglede grunge collection stamps, MS branch punch, Tim Holtz distress inks in tattered rose and peeled paint

and lastly, a couple of pictures of my little ones at a family bbq at the weekend!
