The Sugar Bowl challenge - Judy's sketch and a new camera!!!!!

Firstly, I'm so excited as we have at last bought a digital camera so I can return my Dad's to him and hopefully improve the quality of my photos! I can't believe the difference. My hubby has wanted a camera for ages and recently has started to use the tactic of it improving my blog photos if we got one! how could I refuse LOL!

Here is my entry for this fortnight's Sugar Bowl challenge to Judy's fantastic sketch. There is also an option to use sparkle.....think I've fulfilled this LOL! Well you can't have too much sparkle on a Christmas card can you?? This is my first Christmas card since I started stamping! I've made my family Christmas cards for the last four or five years but with things like fimo characters I made or hand drawn images! This stamp I got in my Sugar Nellie goodie bag a few weeks ago and it is the first time I've used it.
I don't have any Christmas stash yet so have had to improvise a great deal here. The huge snowflake I have made by cutting a star out of some pearlised card and then punching branches with my MS branch punch and glueing them behind each point, I then added a tonne of glitter and a huge gem! The small snowflakes I have made from some plastic flowers, by just cutting into each side of the petals and adding small gems, quite pleased with these actually!

The sentiment I have again written myself with my calligraphy pen on the same pearlised card as the snowflake, I'm afraid I don't know the name of it anymore! The edges of all the papers have been distressed with Antique Linen distress ink. I haven't decorated the inside of this card as I have used all the paper! Hope it doesn't depress you too much seeing a Christmas card in July! x

Papers: coredinations cardstock and Kaiser Scrapbook Vagabond, Doodlebug glitter card
