A Spoonful of Sugar challenge

I have been practising my distress ink colouring today and am much happier with this than my Henry one although I still need a lot more practise. I decided to choose something easy to colour and chose the gorgeous Tilda with Hearts. I love this stamp as my little girls hair curls up around her ears just like Tilda's hairdo in this stamp so I feel like I'm colouring a picture of my little girl LOL! There is a gorgeous sketch by Debbie this week over at A spoonful of Sugar so I really wanted to join in and this is the card I've made. I just noticed though that I was supposed to put my text underneath the image......sorry, hope it is still OK!

Here is a closer view of my distress ink colouring but don't look too close LOL! I have stamped my beloved Stempelglede flourish stamp around the edges and added some stickles to the hearts and swirls. I feel I should mention that I have been inspired to do this on my card by the uber talented Kim as I just love it on her cards, thank you for the inspiration Kim!

The heart I have cut out of some really thick card that I have pinched off the back of my Son's colouring pad, it is my cheating grungeboard as I think it looks like it and I don't have any LOL! I have distressed the edges of it with brushed cordoruy ink and then rubbed a white luster rub on over the top and added a little heart gem. The netting behind with the pins is a piece of a wash tablet bag.

My sentiment is discreetly hidden in amongst my swirls! Did you spot it?? I painted it with tattered rose distress ink.
The charm is from the hobby house and the gorgeous chiffon ribbon is from my stash!
The paper I have made myself using a Magnolia key stamp, Stempelglede grunge heart and grunge flourish stamps and a dotty swirl stamp and distress inks. I'm really pleased with how it turned out and it was so much fun to make! I have called it "key to my heart" as obviously it has keys and hearts on LOL!
Hope you liked my card and my paper and thank you so much for looking! x
