Just Magnolia and Stamp Something challenges

Hope you're having a lovely weekend! I had to make a male card this weekend - ugh, I'm not keen on these and the bad news is I have another to do this week as well :(! The good news is I have managed to make it for two challenges. This is my entry for the Just Magnolia challenge where this week there is a gorgeous sketch by Mina! Thanks Mina your sketch is brilliant! I am also entering the Stamp Something challenge for the first time, and their challenge is to use brown - perfect for a male card!

I have used two images from the summer kit, the fabulous breakwater fence - I just love colouring this so much! - and the cool surfer Edwin!
Not much else to say about this really as it doesn't have much in the name of embellishments! I have used buttons for the 6 little embellishment elements to Mina's sketch and I have added some string for a kind of beach feel - this was tied to a tag in some junk mail I received on Friday LOL! (I'm like a magpie when it comes to hoarding bits and pieces from things).

The sentiment is part of a Forever Friends stamp, I just masked out the bear. The papers are all K&Co, I thought the striped one was remeniscent of a deck chair to keep in with the beach/surf theme LOL! I added some tiny gems dotted around the card as it just looked to plain and boring to me without a bit of sparkle!

I have decorated the inside but it is incredibly plain, just carried the sketch through!

Hope it hasn't bored you too much with no flowers or ribbons to see LOL! Thanks for looking! x

Images: Magnolia, coloured with copics

Papers: K&Co

Rope and gems: from stash

Buttons: Basic Grey

Other tools: Tim Holtz distress inks in brushed cordoruy and faded jeans
