I have had a strange weekend mojo wise and felt like doing some different things, one of which was exploring my shabby style! I found the Let's Get Shabby challenge quite by accident while looking for layout ideas for a photo I want to embellish into a picture like scrapbooking. My main Christmas paper purchase was a K&Co Christmas Cheer pad and there are a few pages with some gorgeous vintage style Christmas drawings on them and I've been thinking of making some of them into cards for a while. They have a layout challenge at Let's Get Shabby at the moment and this is the card I have made to the layout. Hope it's vintage enough!!
So, the vintage Santa picture has been torn from one of the K&Co papers and all the rest of the papers are from the same collection. I have torn all the edges and distressed them with antique linen distress ink.
For the circle part of the layout I made a large snowflake, sprinkled it with ivory flowersoft and added some ivory pearls.
The gorgeous flower is from a Prima christmas bubble, as is the leaf. I also added some tulle and lace, twisted together behind the flower.
The gorgeous pearl hat pin is from Tabbycrafts and I have created the swirl of pearls myself from a strip of half pearls.
Hope you like it and thanks for looking! x
