Colour Create and Friday Sketcher's challenges

I've done a lot of decorating the past few days and also took my children to a fantastic firework display and consequently didn't craft for 3 whole evenings! On top of not daring to drive so missing out on the NEC I've been feeling very sorry for myself LOL! I don't know about you but I just don't feel right if I haven't made something each day and felt very out of sorts last night when I finally had a chance to craft LOL. This gorgeous Gillian Roberts Nativity image had been sat, coloured, on my desk for a while from one of my distress ink practices so to get me back in the swing of things I decided to use it. I have followed the lovely Christmassy sketch at Friday Sketcher's - fantastic thank you Jacqueline! and the colour challenge at Colour Create which this week is blue, silver and white with an option of winter and glitter.

I'm pleased with the colouring of this one, I used my bristol board that I use for my copic colouring and I think it looks much better than on the watercolour paper. The edges have been distressed with brushed cordoruy distress ink and covered in stickles. Isn't the little boy cute with his trainers on LOL!

My paper started out as plain pale blue and I have stamped and embossed in silver on of the gorgeous flourish stamps from my Stempelglede grunge flourish hearts collection. I have also distressed the edges with scissors and brushed cordoruy distress ink.

The sentiment is from the new Whiff of Joy winter kit, stamped in faded jeans distress ink, the edges distressed and again covered in stickles. The huge snowflake I made myself like you used to at school LOL, it has been distressed with ink and covered in MS glitter.

Thanks for looking and hope you like it! Enjoy your Monday! x

Fabulous card Jane and your colouring and design are superb! Love all the swirly embossing too, it's all so Christmassy. Hope you're back to everyday crafting now, it does become a need to on a daily basis, I know how you feel. Glad you could join us at Colour Create this time. Chris :)
