Sarah Kay card

Todays card was made for a fantastic challenge on the Running with Scissors site I am a member of. This is run by the lovely lady who owns my local craft shop. All the participants were given a little goody bag with the same items in. This was such a fun challenge to see what different people do with exactly the same items! We had to use all of the items in whole or part and we could add our own bits and pieces. The bag contained paper, 3 flowers, 3 clear buttons, ribbon, manilla tag and a little cloisonne charm. I coloured Sarah Kay with distress inks as I thought their softness suited the paper best. The edges have been distressed with antique linen distress ink.

I sewed the buttons to some of the paper scraps and then tore around them to make custom buttons.

The little gems hanging from the brads are part of the cloisonne charm which I broke up .......

....and the rest of the charm I threaded onto a pearl headed pin!

Hope you like it and thanks for looking! x
