Just Magnolia challenge - a Christmas card

Yay it's Friday which not only means it is nearly the weekend but also that there is a new challenge at Just Magnolia!! Wow your special Christmas projects were amazing, thanks so much for joining in at this busy time of year!!! Now, if, like me, you still have more Christmas cards to make (think I'm making them in my sleep LOL) then you'll love this week's challenge which is to make....a Christmas card!!! The papers I've used today are some more from a candy win so again I'm afraid I don't know the make, sorry. Wish I did actually as it is really gorgeous quality and very glittery everywhere, although this isn't showing too well thanks to the lack of light in these December days! All the edges have been torn and distressed with Brushed cordoruy distress ink.
I have used the gorgeous Silent Night Tilda, coloured with distress inks, just love all the swirly ribbon on this one and her gorgeous coat! The fur trim on her coat has been covered in MS carrera marble glitter and her head band has been covered in glitter glue. I have also added gold liquid pearls to the middle of the poinsettias.

The flowers are from Wild Orchid crafts and have been sprayed with pearl glimmer mist. I have also added some leaves punched with my favourite Woodware leaf punch using glitter paper. You can just see in this photo that I have also used my MS doiley lace punch on a little panel of paper that peeps from behind the image.

There is a strip of gorgeous wide lace behind the image and some more glittery leaves peeping out from the bottom corner.
Parts of the paper had a slight aqua tinting to them on some of the swirls so I have linked this in by using some gorgeous chiffon ribbon in the same colour from the Hobby House. Hope you can find time to join in this week during all the mayhem of Christmas preparations! Do pop and see the rest of the team's creations, as always they are breathtaking! x

How clever to pick out the aqua colour - lovely card Jane, the metal you were asking about is by ten seconds studio, we no longer stock it in the shop but I do believe some hardware shops sell a similar thing, or you might find it on the web, have a lovely weekend XXX
