Friday again and our final challenge for this year over at
Just Magnolia. Thank you for all the wonderful entries last week, so pleased you managed to join us at this busy time! This week we have the most gorgeous sketch by the super talented Mina! Thanks Mina I loved this one! x I have used some gorgeous mistletoe papers from Magnolia and distressed them as usual with scissors, brushed cordoruy distress ink and stickles.
I have coloured Tilda with Mistletoe with distress inks and stamped a Christmas swirl from Whiff of Joy around her using brushed cordoruy distress ink. While the ink was still wet I coloured in the hearts. I have stickled the swirls and around the oval.
I have added some lovely natural cord which I got from Hobby Craft, wrapping it several times before tieing a knot near the top.
For the five elements on Mina's sketch I have used four snowflakes, all different like the real thing, and a grungeboard heart which I have painted with pickett fence crackle paint. I have then aged it with distress ink and sprayed with glimmer mist.
This is a special card for my SIL to give my brother so the inside is fully decorated. I used Lazy summer day Tilda on one side with a sentiment I have written with my calligraphy pen. The other side more or less repeats the sketch.
Again I stamped some swirl stamps around the sentiment and stickled everything.
Behind Mistletoe Tilda is a tag for writing a secret message, topped with two snowflakes.
This challenge will run until after the holidays so I hope you manage to find a little time to yourself to craft (perhaps with your new Christmas crafting goodies!) and can join us! Check out the rest of the DT's work it is truly stunning as always! x
