Friday Sketcher's and Stamp Something challenges

Morning! I wanted to show you this on Sunday but it was for a special blogging friend so I didn't want to ruin the surprise! Anyway, she should have it by now so here it is! I made this following the gorgeous sketch by Jacque at Friday Sketcher's and also following the colour combination at Stamp Something which is blue and white. This is my first ever card made at a crop!! I finally went to a crop at my local craft shop Running With Scissors and had a great time. It was so lovely to be able to meet people who love crafting and even some blog followers!! It was also lovely to be able to craft in daylight LOL, my crafting is usually done when the kiddies are in bed. I was in a right flap before I went though as I just didn't know what to take LOL so I went with the "take tools/inks/pens and buy the rest option" LOL. (Well I did take some flowers as I knew I was following the blue and white theme but the rest I bought at the shop which was great - like having a huge craft room of stash to choose from! The papers are by BoBunny and I think I'm going to have to get some more of them, they're gorgeous!
I just love this new Edwin from the Winter/Christmas kit he is soooo cute! I have coloured him with distress inks and added stickles to his wings and the little ledge I painted for him. The edges have been sponged with vintage photo distress ink and stickled too.
The large rose is from Hobby Craft and the gorgeous blossoms are from Wild Orchid Crafts, all have been sprayed with glimmer mist. The leaves have been punched using my Woodware leaf punch and have been edged with vintage photo. For the sentiment I used "birthday" from the "birthday mail" sentiment from the new Whiff of Joy Happy Mail collection and the "wishes" is from the Magnolia winter kit sentiment "loving wishes". I stamped them with weathered wood distress ink. The edges have been distressed and stickled to match the image. The gorgeous lace was bought at the crop! I had taken some of my own but it looked to heavy and who could resist buying some of this instead!? not me!!
The little butterfly has been cut from the BP and the tiny pearls are from the Hobby House.
The gorgeous loop border has been done with my MS punch around the page punch.
Hope you like it and thanks for looking! x
