My Magnolia Ink project!

Thank you all soooooo much for your lovely comments yesterday, I really appreciate it and you made my little celebration even more special, thank you! As promised here is my project that made it into the Magnolia Ink magazine.........

......Some paper mache letters for my daughter's bedroom wall!! They started out life as plain brown paper mache and I painted them with Paper Perfect which is like a paint with bits of paper in it that I found on a trip to Hobby Craft. Once it had dried (which takes ages by the way) I inked all the edges of the letters with brushed cordoruy distress ink and then stickles and then set to work decorating them. Each one is different as you can see....
"K" has Tilda as a Butterfly, coloured with distress inks and as I was cutting her out completely I made her some wire antennae rather than trying to cut around the stamped ones. The gorgeous large frose is from Wild Orchid crafts as are the white blossoms and the other flowers are from Hobby Craft. All of them were sprayed with glimmer mist. The butterflies are chipboard shapes from Hobby Craft. I painted them with Tim Holtz picket fence crackle paint and then distressed them with brushed cordoruy ink and sprayed them with glimmer mist. I then added tiny gems to the bodies.
The first "A" has Sweetheart Tilda perched on some lace.....

The "R" has Lazy Summer Day Tilda on it looking like she is leaning out of the top of the letter almost like a window. I have used some gorgeous gold metal flock which was a fabulous gift from a blogging friend (you know who you are, thank you soooo much). I tried to use the flowers, lace, butterflies and leaves in different ways on each one so that when they were hung together it looked more pleasing.
The final "A" has this cute little Tilda from the summer kit with her watering can and flower. The large roses have stickles on ends of the petals also. This has taken pride of place in Kara's bedroom above her cot.
Hope you like it and thanks for looking! x
