Simon Says Stamp, Quixotic and Colour Create challenges

I absolutely loved making this card, I love shabby things, I don't know why I don't do this style more often really! This is for the Simon Says Stamp challenge which is "Shabby Chic" and also for the Quixotic challenge using Judy's gorgeous sketch (which I have rotated) and Colour Create challenge where the gorgeous colour scheme is blue, white and kraft with the option of texture (which I have plenty of here LOL). I'm also entering this for the DT call at Simon Says Stamp - fingers so very crossed!! The gorgeous paper is My Mind's Eye Classis Everyday Fresh Linens paper. I have distressed the edges by tearing and inking them with Vintage photo and Walnut stain distress inks, and here and there I have painted them with picket fence crackle paint, which has also been sponged with vintage photo, for a real shabby chic look.
This stunning image is from Mo's Digital Pencil, "Michael". Isn't it so adorable. I have coloured the image with copics and then distressed the edges the same as the papers and added some crackle paint around the edges too. I wanted the card to look like it has been made with lots of little treasures that have been found.
The sentiment has been created on a piece of grungeboard. The alphabet stickers came with a pencil tin of my Son's (I pinched the letters he didn't need for his name - naughty Mummy LOL). I have inked them with vintage photo, stuck them to the grungeboard and then painted the crackle paint around them so that some of it is on the stickers, and of course distressed with vintage photo around the edges.
The top right corner has been covered in crackle paint and then distressed with ink and I have added a gorgeous pearl brad from the Hobby House.
The beautiful blue flower is by petaloo from my local shop, Running with Scissors, and the roses are from Wild Orchid crafts, all have been sprayed with glimmer mist. The butterflies have been punched from Magnolia's silent night music sheet paper with MS butterfly punch. I have sponged the edges with distress ink and added some tiny pearls in the centres. The small roses are mounted onto gold spacers from the Hobby House.
Hopefully in this photo you can see my "kraft" paper. I have used some, honest, it's just got a little hidden under all the shabby chicness LOL. I tore up a brown corrugated cup holder to form a strip, painted the corners with yet more crackle paint and layered some gorgeous fine lace over the top. I think you can just about see some of the non painted "kraft" paper underneath the lace LOL!! I also added a couple of strands of some straw like ribbon that was wrapped around a candle I bought recently.

Hope you enjoyed looking at my shabby chic creation! Have a great day xx
