Ooo, exciting day for me today, as you know it is Whiff of Joy challenge day and this week we have a sketch by little old me!! So I'm keeping my fingers crossed that you like it enough to join us this week! My paper is from K&Co and I've distressed the edges with scissors and vintage photo distress ink.
I have used the Happy Mail desk stamp again but this time you can see what the desk and chair are like on their own. I thought they lent themselves to a sophisticated looking card, what do you think? A bit Victorian looking I thought so tried to theme my card around this idea. I have coloured the image with copics.
The sentiment is from the Happy Mail set also, it comes with the Charlotte riding Pidgeon stamp which, incidently, Katharina has kindly given one to me to give away as candy, so if you would like to win it see the link in my side bar! I have stamped it with antique linen distress ink, punched two holes with a Woodware punch so that I could thread my gold organza ribbon through.
I had another dabble at making my own flower after seeing Aija's gorgeous flowers on StampARTic's blog last week. I love how this turned out. The flower itself is crimped paper strips as per Aija's tutorial and then I added a small square of brown lace and a tightly rolled paper strip to form the flower's centre. The two small roses are from Wild Orchid Crafts.
