Glass ornaments

OK so strictly they're Christmas tree baubles LOL but they are heart shaped so I suppose you could use them on Valentine's Day to decorate the house! I bought loads of plain baubles to decorate and then had so many Christmas cards to make I didn't get round to them (hopefully I'll get round to them before this Christmas LOL). My local craft shop Running with Scissors had a little competition to alter a bauble though so it spurred me into action to decorate 3 of them at least LOL!

Yay! I finally remembered to take a picture of what they looked like before I altered them LOL!

They're quite simply decorated, I wanted them to look a bit Victorian. Also my main tree doesn't really have traditional Christmas themed baubles on it, it is all soft greens and white and clear and has butterflies and doves and things on it! I cut parts of a Prima crystal and pearl swirl to decorate each one, punched butterflies from plain vellum using my MS punch and stickled them, and added a couple of glimmer misted roses to the top of each one. This is the largest with two butterflies.

The medium one has another part of the swirl on it and just one butterfly.

The smallest has the rest of the swirl on it and again just one butterfly (couldn't fit much else on it LOL). Here are some close ups of the details on each one......

I photographed these while my little girl was having her nap and just had to show you these photographs I took of her when she woke up. She just looked so cute with flushed cheeks and a riot of curls that I had to capture it forever.

LOL she is such a giggler!!! It looks like I've spent ages with curling irons on her hair but it is natural and she's just got up after 2 hours sleep - how lucky is she LOL??

Hope you like my decorations and thanks for looking x

Jane - you're a woman after my own heart - Christmas all year round. And the baubles are lovely - fantastic inspiration. And what beautiful pictures of your little girl - you've just got to scrap book those, with smaller pix of the baubles to remind you of the day. Check out Tracey's scrapbook pages from this week. The layout idea would be perfect!
