Just Magnolia DT meets Sketch Saturday

Yay!!! It's Friday, it's nearly Valentine's Day and it is half term next week for my little boy!!!!! So lots to celebrate today LOL! Of course Friday also means it is time for another challenge at Just Magnolia. Firstly though a huge thank you to everyone who took the plunge and made an Easter basket/container! WOW they were all so gorgeous! This week is a little easier you'll be pleased to know, the theme is "love". So, Valentine's cards, Weddings, Anniversary, whatever you like! I decided to make one more Valentine's card, just in case I get a last minute request for one. I have used Ria's gorgeous sketch over at Sketch Saturday but I've rotated it. The papers are Basic Grey Indian Summer collection and they have been distressed with worn lipstick distress ink.

I have used Tilda with Hearts, coloured with distress inks and I have stamped around the image with the Magnolia New Years swirl in worn lipstick and then stickled over the top.

The flowers have all been sprayed with pearl glimmer mist, the large rose is from Hobby Craft and the smaller ones are from Wild Orchid crafts. The leaves are punched with a Woodware punch. Now, I wouldn't have thought of putting fuschia pink and red together but they were both in the paper and I actually think it works quite well, much to my surprise!
I have used the gorgeous MS heart lace punch along one edge and added a bow with ribbon from the Hobby House.
The sentiment is from a Forever Friends sentiment kit which I've inked with worn lipstick and added a couple of hearts which were waste from the punched border.
Hope you like it and thanks for looking. You must pop over to the challenge blog and have a look at the rest of the teams work - WOW!!!! - they'll blow you away! x
