Magnolia Down Under Challenge DT card meets Truly Scrumptious - Pink & Grey

Woo hooo!!!! here is my first DT card for Magnolia Down Under Challenges!!! I'm so thrilled to be part of this team, they're work is amazing!!! In case you didn't know, MDUC has gone back to being a weekly challenge!! This week the challenge is pink and grey.....yummy colour combination isn't it!!! This gorgeous prize from Kellie is on offer to the lucky winner this week.
I have to admit I was apprehensive about making this card as the only other pink and grey card I've ever made I hated LOL so to make sure I got it right this time I bought some papers especially. They are by Melissa Frances and are just so dreamy looking!! The flowery one is called Julia and the striped one is Gregory! I have used the sketch at Truly Scrumptious challenge too so am entering this for that challenge which also has the please include of buttons and bows, which I've also used!

I have used my favourite Tilda from the summer collection, I just love her whistful look and that she can be used for any occasion. I've coloured her with distress inks and added stickles to her wings. The gorgeous swirls around the image are the new years swirl from Magnolia, stamped with tattered rose and covered in stickles.

I have stamped the swirl stamp in opposite corners in full and touches of it around the rest of the BP edges and again covered them in stickles. The papers are distressed and sponged with tattered rose too. The gorgeous ribbon was a bargain find - 48p for a huge bundle!! I've added a button and some jute string from my stash.

The flowers are from Wild Orchid crafts. They were white but I've sponged the edges with worn lipstick distress ink and sprayed them with pearl glimmer mist. The leaves are punched with a Woodware punch and inked with tattered rose. The sentiment I have written myself with a silver gel pen and again stamped parts of the New Year swirl around the edges.

I couldn't resist adding a couple more leaves peeping out the other side of the image LOL and there is a band of the gorgeous ribbon running across the card. The gorgeous lace underneath was another bargain find - 40p for 3m!!!! (needless to say I got lots LOL)

For the first time in ages I actually decorated the inside of the card while I was making it (I've been saving the scraps with the cards to finish when I use the card). I was going to follow the sketch again inside but then decided I didn't want to cover up the gorgeous swirls so I just used one rectangle of flowered paper and the circle left blank for a message.

Hope you like it and thanks for looking! I hope I have inspired you to join in with us at Magnolia Down Under this week! x
