Just Magnolia challenge

Woohoo!!!! Just Magnolia is one year old tomorrow!!!! I can't believe it is a year since the challenge blog started and I'm so thrilled that I am part of the team as I can remember drooling over the DT's creations on that first challenge post!! To celebrate we are running a blog hop which is being sponsored by Simon Says Stamp. Not only are they sponsoring the prize for the regular weekly challenge, there is also an amazing prize that has been sponsored by Simon Says Stamp for the blog hop. The theme of this week's challenge is Thank-You. For the DT this means a huge thank you to all our lovely followers and entrants each week and also to our amazingly generous sponsors for the fabulous prizes they put up each week.

The first stop on the hop is the Just Magnolia challenge blog in case you haven't started from the beginning. If you're on the right track you should have arrived at my blog from Jacque's blog. Now for my card....have you seen the new spring kit??? Oh my goodness I was so excited when I opened it and saw them - I am in love with every single one! I have used a mixture of Cosmo Cricket and Bo Bunny papers, all distressed with antique linen and frayed burlap. I've sewn the edges with my sewing machine too.
Isn't she stunning in her medieval gown?? She looks so anguished I think with her rose in her hand as though her true love is riding away to battle LOL. I have coloured her with distress inks and added a touch of stickles here and there.
My fancy archway was created with two swirls cut with a Tim Holtz alterations die and I added a spacer and pearl to the top from the Hobby House.
The ribbon was a bargain find on a trip to Lincoln and the roses are from Wild Orchid crafts.
Hope you like it and thanks for looking! Now it is time to see Sheila's gorgeous creation! x
