Thank you for all your amazing creations to my sketch! I loved seeing how everyone interpreted it! This week it is our special monthly challenge with a whopping $25 spending spree at Simon Says Stamp courtesy of Heidi as the prize! We do not have a tutorial this month, the challenge is to make a card with more than one fold. So many wonderful options and I'm amazed how many different ones the DT came up with! I was just itching to use some of my new Princess Tilda's that I bought at the NEC so decided to make a card where I could use two! You will find the tutorial for this on Split Coast Stampers forum here.
In the foreground I have used this gorgeous Tilda kissing a Frog - I am so in love with this stamp, isn't is amazing!! I have coloured her with distress inks and added stickles to her gorgeous fluttery wings and the lace on her dress. I created a little garden for her to sit in with my MS double loops punch to make a fence and my new MS punch from NEC with gorgeous flowers along the edge (which I don't know the name of as I was so eager to open it and threw the packaging away LOL). I added some tiny flowers that are waste from the punch along the bottom too and I have added a centre to each flower with gold liquid pearls. The cute green leaf ribbon is from a local store.
I added a couple of gold hearts to each "fence post" that were waste from my MS heart lace punch for finials. Here is a close up of this gorgeous Tilda too!
Along the top of the card I have added some leaves punched with a Woodware punch and some flowers punched with EK success punches to continue the garden. I have added gems from the Hobby House to these flower centres.
On the stand up portion of the card I have added yet another gorgeous Princess Tilda, again coloured with distress inks and I've stickled her dress and tiara. This little beauty had sold out on Friday when I went (no surprises there) but luckilly they had more coming Saturday and my lovely teamie Bev got one for me (thanks soooo much hun!).
Yes, the Tim Holtz stamps are out again!! They all just seemed to be perfect for my cards this week! I have stamped this one with milled lavender distress ink and embossed the heart with gold embossing powder.
Another view showing the little garden better. Now, are you thinking I've cheated and this is not really a card?? Can you believe this actually folds down flat to be posted!?!? I couldn't when I saw the tutorial but below is how it looks when it is folded - amazing eh?
Hope you like it and you really need to visit the challenge blog to drool over the rest of the teams creations, everyone has really surpassed themselves this week I can tell you!!! Hope you can join us! Thanks for looking! x
