Simon Says Stamp challenge - Going to the Movies

Wednesday already!! That means it is time for another challenge at Simon Says Stamp challenge! This week our theme is "going to the movies" and dry embossing. Oh my word did I struggle with this. I spent weeks trying to think of a film that I could interpret with one of my stamps to no avail and came up with this idea. When I'd finished it what plopped on my doormat?? the Magnolia kit with THE most gorgeous stamps ever, all of which had me thinking of different films I could have done! argh!!! Unfortunately I didn't have time to put any of them into reality so had to go with my first option. I do like it, but it is not really my type of card LOL (my little boy thinks it is great and wants it for his room LOL).

I made a popcorn bucket from some K&Co paper and added a label using a nestie and some pens.

My popcorn is also my dry embossed element LOL - can you tell what it is?? Prima's e-line flowers sponged with some spiced marmalade distress ink LOL. It was enough to fool a 5 year old at first anyway!! I also rolled the top of the paper just like a real popcorn bucket!

The tickets I made using this fab ticket stamp from Tim Holtz, stamped with black soot distress ink. I punched half a circle at the ends to look like they've been punched! The film strip is also from Tim Holtz and I have added some mini photos from The Graphics Fairy to it. The gems are from my stash.

Hope you like it and can join us this week. The rest of the DT's creations are stunning (wish I'd thought of them LOL) pop over to the challenge blog and have a look. Thanks for looking! x
