A Wedding Acceptance

I'm quite excited about this as it is my first commission from someone I don't actually know LOL! One of the recipients of the Valentine's cards I made for my husband's colleagues loved her card so much she emailed me to commission this and a wedding card!! The theme of the wedding is black and white. The wedding collection from Making Memories (available from the Hobby House) was perfect for the job!
I wrote the "Acceptance" myself with my calligraphy pen and then layered it with some nesties. The gorgeous pearl heart slider is from the Hobby House as is the black tulle. I added a mixture of flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts and Prima, all sprayed with glimmer mist and some pins from the Hobby House. There is a fairy theme to the wedding so I added these vellum butterflies punched with a MS punch as I don't really have any fairies suitable for a wedding theme!
As the gardenia flower is quite bulky I needed to make a box for the card and decided to use up the rest of the paper. I made the top from black card and punched the edge with MS heart lace punch and made the bottome from white card so that the heart border stands out. It's a really striking combination, I bet the wedding will be gorgeous!!
Thanks for looking! x

Wow, this is stunning Jane. If this is just the acceptance, what will you do for the actual wedding card ? You had better get your thinking cap on for when the order is put in !!!

Simply stunning.

Hugs,

Hi Jane
there is only one word for this STUNNING. I don't like black & white normally (as I just love pink), but this has made me re-think that I should possibly use that black & white that I have had in my stash (for years)lol.
well done another beautiful card & box.
hugs

Fabulous card Jane and your calligraphy is perfect for it. So chic! I love monochrome but it's not often you see it for a wedding. Would really love to see a photo of the day if you can get hold of one. Love the beautifully crafted box too - makes it a very special acceptance and a lovely keepsake for the bride xxx
