Thank you for all your fabulous entries with my sketch!! I loved seeing all the different takes on it!! This week we have a theme of "hot and/or spicy"!! So, you can do spicy colours, hot colours, summer images or all of the options!! I have chosen to use hot and spicy colours for my card. Well, in actual fact it is a little recipe booklet. I followed the brilliant sketch at
Sketch Saturday as it was perfect for what I had in mind!! My SIL gave me a gorgeous recipe from one of her cook books after we ate it at my Brother's house. However, there are three parts to it and it is copied onto various bits of paper and I always seem to lose part of it amongst the recipe books. So I thought I'd bring it altogether neatly, in a way that I could have the whole recipe in front of me when I'm making it. I've used a mixture of spicy coloured papers from my stash, all distressed with
Walnut Stain distress ink. The sentiment is mounted onto a fancy tag die cut and the ribbon is from my stash. I have coloured Tilda with distress inks.
Tilda lifts up to reveal a pocket with the first part of the recipe tucked into it.....
Which in turn folds out so that I can see the ingredients and the instructions at the same time. (Sorry, I've blanked it out so as not to break any copyright laws by publishing someone's recipe LOL).
The recipe card then opens out as above with the other two lists of ingredients and instructions!
Keeping with the hot and spicy theme I made a little garlic bulb and chilli pepper from cardstock. The chilli is embossed with clear embossing powder to make it shine! I've used MS daisy edge punch throught the card. The brown pearls are from the
Hobby House.I added some spice coloured flowers to the middle section. You can see in this photo the panel with Tilda on folded up to allow the card to open.
The final page I simply added a button and some ribbon left over from the front. This recipe is one my SIL made up so I've shown this one!
Hope you like it and can join us this week at Just Magnolia!! Thanks for looking! x
