Magnolia Down Under Challenge DT - Embossing

Woohoo! time for another challenge at Magnolia Down Under Challenge and this week we'd like to see some embossing on your project. It can be heat embossing or dry embossing or both as I have done!! I couldn't resist buying this adorable wedding image even though I have no weddings to go to (what am I like?). It is just such a gorgeous image I had to have it and surely someone I know will get married at some point right??

I have coloured the image with distress inks and added stickles to the bridesmaid's frills and I painted over both dresses and the veil with glimmer mist once the image was dry for a soft silk sheen.
I think you can only tell in my end photo but I have embossed the peach paper which is from Basic Grey Cappella pad - well actually I've debossed it as I put the paper in the wrong way round as I'm still getting to grips with dry embossing having only done it once before LOL! I have used MS double loops punch to create a frame for the circular piece of paper. The charms are from Whiff of Joy and the little pearl hearts are from the Hobby House.

The heart is a Stempelglede stamp embossed in gold onto pearlescent cream cardstock which I have then rubbed with tattered rose distress ink to make it peach. The flowers are a mixture of Wild Orchid Crafts, Hobby Craft and punched vellum which are also embossed although it isn't showing well in the photos. I got the idea for embossing the vellum flowers from my friend Tracy although they haven't turned out even half as good as the ones I saw her make!! Thanks for letting me use the idea Tracey!

The pearl brads are also from the Hobby House. I have embossed a Stempelglede flourish around the edges of the image with gold embossing powder too. Went embossing mad on this card LOL!

Hope you like it and I've inspired you to join us this week at Magnolia Down Under Challenge! Thanks for looking! x

Oh wow, your card is so soft and pretty and gorgeous. I jove the flowers and colours and everything!! That stamp is adorable and i love it more and more every time I see it used. I might have to get her too, even though almost everyone I know is married and I would not have an actual 'use' for it either, lol! I have ordered the beach couple and thought of using them on the back of my wedding invitation envelopes, just to get some maggie goodness in there somewhere (because I was not colouring up 70 of them for the actual invitations!!) bahahaha!!
