Magnolia Down Under Challenge DT - Birthdays

It is time for another challenge at Magnolia Down Under Challenge and this week the theme is "birthdays". I decided to make a gift bag for my friend's little girl who's birthday is soon.

I have used MS punch around the page Flower Shower punch around the whole cardstock before folding into the bag shape and adding the sides and handle.
I love this Tilda from the Wedding Collection as she's perfect for any occasion where you give a gift! I've coloured her with copics to match the paper which is from MME La Paperie stack. I inked the edges with Victorian Velvet distress ink and stickles.
I have added some Prima flowers together with a tag from my stash and one of my flower buttons (see my tutorials page for details). The leaves were punched with a Woodware leaf punch and I have also added some butterflies punched with MS punches. I have covered the leaves and butterflies with stickles.
The back of the bag is decorated with the same paper and flowers and my signature stamp.

I punched the handle with MS doily lace punch before adding some pink paper ribbon and some Kaisercraft gems. Hope you like it and I've inspired you to join us this week at Magnolia Down Under Challenge! Pop over to the blog to see the rest of the teams amazing creations! Thanks for looking! x

Just Magnolia DT - Bev's sketch

We have an amazing sketch for you this week at Just Magnolia by the uber talented Bev, thanks hun, I absolutely LOVED this sketch! I've used some of the images from the summer kit for my card. The papers are from Magnolia and MME La Paperie stack distressed with faded jeans distress ink.

I've coloured Edwin and the porthole background with copics and added some 3D gloss to the telescope lens, trouser buttons and the rivets around the porthole.

I have hand written the sentiment inside the curled ribbon image from the summer kit and added some shells and a starfish together with a life ring I made using circle nesties and some string.

The border has been punched with MS double loops punch and I have added some black eyelets and some chunky string I recycled from a clothing label.

Hope you like it and can join us this week at Just Magnolia. My teamies have made some amazing creations to inspire you too so pop over to the challenge blog for a peep!! Thanks for looking! x

LOL!!! I just love the title of our challenge at Whiff of Joy this fortnight!!! Fuzz!!! Don't know why just makes me laugh LOL! Your fuzz can be felt, fun flock or flower soft so plenty of scope for you! I have used the gorgeous Mother and Child image from Whiff of Joy, I love the tenderness of this image!
I have coloured the image with copics to match the MME Life Stories paper. I have used the gorgeous sketch from the Sweet Stop for my card.

I have punched the Bo Bunny spotty paper with MS doily lace punch along the top and heart lace punch along the bottom. I coloured the ribbon with a copic to match the image and the sentiment is from the MME Life Stories collection too.

My "fuzz" if this flower I made from felt using Magnolia Doo Hickey peony dies and a brad from the Hobby House. The roses are from Wild Orchid Crafts and the leaves were punched with a Woodware punch.

Simon Says Stamp DT - Going Spotty

It seems like forever since I posted a card LOL!! I can't believe it is Wednesday already and I haven't posted a thing since Friday!! It is time for another challenge at Simon Says Stamp Challenge and this week our theme is "going spotty". The DT are showcasing Prima products this week so we'd love to see them on your creations if you have any of their papers, flowers, gems etc if not, don't worry, you can still join in!! As usual Heidi is offering a generous $25 spree in the store to the lucky winner! Before I get onto my card I have some sad news. Dena has decided to step down from her DT post with the challenge. It has been so wonderful to work with you hun and you will be greatly missed! xx

My spots are on the Bo Bunny paper behind Tilda but seems you can hardly see them on this photo LOL!! I have used a couple of images from the Magnolia summer kit which are available for preorder from Simon Says Stamp now! The stripey paper is Basic Grey Cappella collection and the spotty paper is Bo Bunny.

I have coloured the gorgeous little mermaid Tilda with copics and added a tonne of stickles all over her tail, bikini and even some strands in her hair for some mermaid shimmer!

I also used the seahorse from the kit, again coloured with copics and covered in stickles. The large shell and all the pointed shells are Hero Arts stamps, covered in rock candy stickles. I have added lots of sea swirls and waves using Tim Holtz flourishes die (which I've cut from aqua cardstock and painted the ends with pickett fence crackle paint for a wave effect) and glitter spotted vellum punched with an EK Success swirl punch.

The gorgeous aida flowers are by Prima and the pearl brads and half pearls are from my stash.

Hope you like it and can join us this week at Simon Says Stamp!! Thanks for looking! x

Just Magnolia DT - Vintage

This week's challenge at Just Magnolia is "vintage" - right up my street!!! I just had to have a go at stamping and colouring onto kraft cardstock after seeing the mega talented Rach do the same on her blog last week and I love the result, will definitely be doing this again soon in fact you may very well get bored of seeing it LOL!
I used Maid Marian Tilda and Prince Phillip the frog from the fairytale collection and coloured them with copics. I used a white gel pen for the white bits and I have added some stickles to the crown and parts of Tilda's dress. The green paper is K&Co and the kraft/red paper is MME. I've distressed the edges with Walnut Stain distress ink.
All the flowers are from Wild Orchid crafts and I punched some leaves with my Woodware punch. I stamped the "kiss me I'm a prince" sentiment from Magnolia with Walnut stain distress ink and then traced over it with a gold pen as it didn't show enough - still doesn't show up as much as I'd like but tis done now LOL!!
I added lace down the edge of one of the paper panels and a lace bow for a vintage feel and some pearls in each corner.

Hope you like it and can join us this week at Just Magnolia. The rest of the team's vintage creations are gorgeous as always, I hope you can pop and have a peep, and I'm delighted to say we have a new team member - Kathy has joined us - welcome to the team hun!! x

Whiff of Joy DT - Final peek, candy and sale!!!

Phew!! Are you keeping up with me the last few days??? I think my colouring hand is about to fall off LOL!! I have my final sneak peek to show you from the new Whiff of Joy summer stamps. Yes, it is another Henry, isn't he so cute lounging around??? That cocktail looks scrumptious too LOL!!!

Henry is coloured with copics and I added some rock candy stickles to his cocktail for some sparkle. I decided his sun lounger just had to be stripey so paper pieced it with the same MME Quite Contrary papers I used for the panel underneath the image.

I'm not sure who makes the flowers, they were a little freebie with a purchase which is always nice!! The ribbon is from my stash and the sliders are from the Hobby House.
The sentiment is another great one from the July store kit I've been showing you the last few days.

I created a beach like border by layering up sandpaper, white and blue cardstocks all cut with the same Tim Holtz flourish die . The bottom was also cut with a Tim Holtz die. The pearls are from my stash.
Hope you like it and thanks for looking!!! You can now order the five new stamps from Whiff of Joy!!!!! Great news eh?? Well, even better news is that Katharina is generously having a summer sale giving you 20% off and this includes the newly released stamps!!!! WOW!!!
AND

As if that wasn't enough Katharina has also given me another "Lazy summer days Henry" that I used on this card to give away to one lucky person!!! All you have to do to be in with a chance of winning is leave a comment on this post as I would really love to send it to one of my existing followers!!!! I will draw a winner on Tuesday 20th July at 8pm. Enjoy the rest of your weekend! x

Magnolia Down Under Challenge DT - Any Season

It is time for another challenge at Magnolia Down Under Challenge and this week the challenge is "any season". As I have made a lot of summer cards this week I decided I'd go to the other extreme and make my first Christmas card of the year with this gorgeous Tilda from the Wedding Collection but I think she fits Christmas too! I am entering my card into the challenge at Cute Card Thursday too as they want us to get a head start on Christmas cards as well!

I have coloured Tilda with copics and added stickles to her lace trims and presents. I broke into my MME christmas stack that I had stashed away ready for the season, I just love the colours on this stripey paper!
It is so long now since I made a Christmas card I couldn't think what embellishments to put on at first other than snowflakes and then I remembered I had some Prima Christmas baubles full of poinsettias and leaves - phew! I created the gem swirl myself with come gems from the Hobby House.
Hope you like it and I haven't scared you away with my Christmas card in July LOL! I hope you can join us this week at Magnolia Down Under Challenge! Pop and have a look at the rest of my teamies gorgeous creations - you won't be disappointed! x

Whiff of Joy DT - July Store kit

I have another card to show you made with stamps from the gorgeous July store kit "Life's a Beach", available now in various stores. For a list of stores stocking the kit visit the Whiff of Joy site. I followed the gorgeous colour combination at Colour Throwdown Challenge for this card which I think I'll use again as it is yummy!

I have coloured Willow with copics and attached the image to a label I saved from a shirt my hubby bought. The string was on the label the eyelet is from my stash, Papermania I think.

The gorgeous sentiment is also in the kit. I have inked around the edge with antique linen distress ink.

I had some paper in my stash that had this postcard printing on it which was perfect! The flower is made up of several Prima e line flowers. I coloured the centre of the top one with copics to match Willow's dress and added some stamens. I added a couple of swirls with an EK success punch and the leaves are a Woodware punch. The punched paper ribbon behind them is by K&Co, they're self adhesive which is great!

Hope you like it and thanks for looking! I will be back later with my final sneak peek of the new release that goes on sale tomorrow at Whiff of Joy! Enjoy your Saturday! x
