Just Magnolia Challenge DT - Recipe

I don't know about you but this week has flown by!! Which means it's already time for another challenge at Just Magnolia!! I decided to make another teacher thank you card seeing as the end of term is creeping up fast now!! Connor's school colours are grey and green and I thought it would be nice to theme the thank you cards around this so chose these gorgeous papers from the MME La Paperie stack. I've distressed them with my Tim Holtz distresing tool and stickled them - no distress inking (shock horror LOL). For the layout I used the gorgeous sketch at Sketch Saturday.

This gorgeous heartbreaker Edwin from the winter kit reminds me of Connor, especially coloured up in his school colours! I've coloured him with distress inks and added stickles to his wings. I inked around the edge with bundled sage distress ink.

The sentiment was stamped with bundled sage too using individual alphabet stamps. I thought it would be fun to add an apple charm from the Hobby House in keeping with the "apple for the teacher" thing LOL!

The large flower was made from the backing paper with Tim Holtz tattered florals dies held together with a tiny brad from my stash. The other two flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts and the leaves were punched with a Woodware punch. The ribbon is recycled from one of my tops (never use those ribbon hangers anyway LOL).

Hope you like my card today and I've inspired you to join us this week at Just Magnolia. Pop over to the challenge blog to see the rest of my teamies' cards - very drool worthy as always!! Thanks for looking! x
