Wednesday already and time for a new challenge at Simon Says Stamp! It's been an eventful week so far for me, my little boy's team won the school sports day (yay!) and my little girl tripped and badly bumped her head sending me panicking to the Dr's (apparently the instant huge lump and purple was a good thing!) She's OK thank goodness, just a very nasty bruise on her brow bless her. This weeks' challenge was also very challenging LOL. I don't know why but I struggle with photo inspiration challenges and this one was no exception! This week we would like to see your cards inspired by this photo....
MMMmmm looks very refreshing doesn't it LOL!? Not sure what state I'd be in if I drank one though - not good at handling the drink since I abstained for my pregnancies LOL!
Luckilly, Willow with Cocktail from the new Whiff of Joy City Girls release came to my rescue! The papers are by 7 Gypsies, distressed with weathered wood distress ink and stickles. I also added a layer of spotted vellum to the bottom half of the card.
I have coloured Willow with copics and added some stickles to the rim of the glass and her jewellery. I stamped around the edge of the image with a Stempelglede stamp using weathered wood distress ink and stickled over the top.
The gorgeous lace and ribbon are from my stash and I added a chipboard butterfly that I have painted with a mixture of frayed burlap crackle paint and white acrylic paint before adding tonnes of stickles and some gems.
As Willow has a cocktail cherry in her glass I couldn't resist adding this cute cherry charm from Whiff of Joy to complete the card!

Hi Jane: Hope your little girl is now on the mend. I had a similar incident when a metal bar swung back and clunked Chloe when she was little and I swear you could see the egg growing on her forehead - eeeek so worrying! Lovely card and a very different challenge. As always your take on it is beautiful. Liking the stamp too - will check it out. Will make a change from my 'fizz' stamp lol!!!
