Now, anyone around in the 80's (my teens - SUCH fun and memories for me) will recognise this kind of outfit instantly I'm sure!! Is this Madonna or what!?!?!? I tell you I've had to get my Madonna CD out this week after seeing this - brought back so many memories of what I was doing when each song was out LOL!! To me this outfit is almost identical to the one Madonna wore in her Lucky Star video appart from the top so this was my inspiration for my card - I've even coloured Sookie up to match!! I've used the sketch at Crafting Life's pieces for my card so I'm entering it there!
Isn't she fab!!! She's got the leggings, leg-warmers, lace gloves, huge hair bow - the lot!!!! I WORE this stuff LOL!!! I've coloured her with copics and added some stickles to her necklace and the shading under her feet. The sentiment was printed on the computer and then I traced over it with a silver gel pen. I've inked around the edges with faded jeans distress ink.
The papers are both by Magnolia, I've distressed the star paper with faded jeans and the music paper with walnut stain. I created the gem flourish myself with gems which are from the Hobby House as are the star charms which hubby kindly chopped the rings off for me (ah).
In keeping with my Madonna theme I added a black ribbon and huge bow like the one in her hair and some black lace to match her black lace fingerless gloves hehe!
