I was so excited yesterday to receive my wonderful DT package from Katharina with Whiff of Joy's stunning new stamps in it!!! I had to get to work right away of course and here is the first card I made. This is Sailor Willow and Sailor Oakley - aren't they gorgeous?! They are individual stamps but I've masked them together. I thought they look like they're dressed up for a celebration, like Victory Day or possibly their sailing Dad coming home, which was the inspiration for the design of the card.
I have coloured them both with copics. First time I've coloured navy blue and I'm really pleased with how it turned out! I mounted them on a triple layer of blue and white card to match the blue and white striping on their Sailor collars. The papers are from MME La Paperie stack distressed with Tim Holtz distress tool.
The sentiment is also from Whiff of Joy's party sentiments, stamped with faded jeans distress ink. I added some checked ribbon from my stash to the tag which was cut with a Spellbinders tag die. I made some bunting with different papers and jute string.
Hope you enjoyed the preview of this pair. They will be available as individual stamps this Sunday 18th July from Whiff of Joy so you don't have long to wait at all!!! I will be back later with another preview - I always get so excited when showing new stamps that I can't wait to get them all blogged LOL!!! Thanks for looking! x
