At last a hAnglar!

Yippee!! At last! A hAnglar card! It may not be immediately apparent from my blog posts but I have a bit of a thing for hAnglar stamps. I have loads but due to not being able to use them on most of the DT's I'm on I hardly ever get to use them. This is bad, I know, all those gorgeous stamps sitting bored in my drawer. I have wanted this particular hAnglar forever and she is the one that started my obsession with them. I searched everywhere for her and imagine my excitement when I saw her on ebay a couple of weeks ago!! So, it seemed only right that I use her for my husband's anniversary card seeing as he is so sweet about me buying them!! It is our 10th wedding anniversary today!! Can't quite believe it's that long and I certainly don't feel old enough LOL!! I sat last night with complete mojo block. Don't you hate that when it's a card you want to be really special!!?? In retrospect I think it turned out a bit too girly but anniversaries are romantic and hubby loves white I so think I'll get away with it LOL!
I've coloured her with copics and added some stickles to the huge heart she's holding. I also coloured her hair the same as mine so she's a mini me LOL! (although I'm a bit old for plaits LOL)

At last my Magnolia Doo Hickey's arrived! I ordered these in July and they went out of stock and only arrived yesterday!! I absolutely love this swirl it is so gorgeous! I cut it out twice to frame the image and inked it with walnut stain distress ink. The paper is from Magnolia too, the fairytale collection I think. Love all the little winged hearts on it!

The sentiment is by hAnglar & sTanglar too, but from a different kit. It's quite large so I bent it to form a flowing banner so that it would fit on the card. I inked around the edges of it and the image with victorian velvet distress ink. The gorgeous leaves are also a doo hickey and the flower is a Prima e line one with a black pearl in the centre. The cuter than cute wooden button is from the Hobby House. They come in heart, circle and Christmas tree shapes and are soo gorgeous! They're plain wood but I painted mine with crackle paint in pickett fence and then inked with walnut stain distress ink.

Hope you like it and thanks for looking! x

such a stunning card. I have no hanglar stamps- however, if you would like I could foster some of yours to save them feeling unloved in that drawer lol!
