This week's challenge at
Simon Says Stamps Challenge is a Halloween theme teamed with embossing. As usual we are sponsored by the
Simon Says Stamp store and you could win a $25 spending spree for the store!! Now I have to admit that I am rather limited on my embossing folders LOL. I only have the three that came with the machine as I have been busy buying nesties instead, and so this challenge was definitely a challenge for me. There are all sorts of wonderful halloween embossing folders - spider webs etc but I only have stripes, flowers and a rather strange pattern LOL. I quite like these situations though as they tend to make me have eureka moments LOL! I decided the stripey one could be representative of the striping on a pumpkin and was going to make a pumpkin card when I suddenly thought of an actual pumpkin lantern instead.
So here it is, my perpetual pumpkin!!!
Complete with spooky grin!
The gorgeous rustic looking flower is by Prima from
Simon Says Stamp and I also added some black leaves cut with a Magnolia Doo Hickey die, also from Simon Says Stamp.
The rest of the details on how I made my pumpkin lantern you can find on the
Whiff of Joy Inspirations blog. Here it is lit up! Spooky eh!?!?
Hope I've inspired you to join us this week at
Simon Says Stamps Challenge. Pop over to the challenge blog to see the rest of the teams stunnin spooky creations! Thanks for looking! x
