Just Because I'm Dieting!

I made another "just because" card!!! As I'm sure many others are, I'm trying to loose some weight this year, but already am not doing so well!!! We popped out to our local garden centre at the weekend and on the way out there was a little stall selling the most delicious looking cupcakes!!! Well of course the children wanted one and of course how could we not have one if they were having one!!?!? I chose such a pretty cupcake with a huge swirl of vanilla frosting sprinkled with hundreds and thousands. It was certainly delicious and while I was guiltilly eating it I had the idea of making a card like it!!
Here is the result - my cupcake easel card! The topping of my edible cupcake looked exactly like this scrummy Basic Grey paper so I just had to use it for the top of my paper cupcake :).

I drew the cupcake shape myself and added a concertinad strip of Magnolia paper for the cake case. The top is punched with MS doily lace punch. I coloured the gorgeous Tilda with Balloon from the winter kit with copics and added some glossy accents to her balloon.

I have sprayed the frosting paper with pearl glimmer mist and added a pink rose from my stash.

The top of the cake pulls out to reveal a sponge cake coloured tag for a message!
On the base of the easel I used some strawberry Magnolia paper and added a doily to resemble a plate for the cupcake to sit on. The swirls and leaves are a doo hickey die. The paper flowers are from my stash and the gorgeous hessian flower is by Prima.
Another angle! (I got a bit carried away with the photos LOL)

I hope you like it and thanks for looking! x
